Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: power, styling (real head turner), automatic, luxury features.
Cons: fuel economy, cold weather flaws, driver's leg room/seat, problems.
The Bottom Line: Steer clear of dodge cars, especially if you live in cold weather areas because they're plagued with problems that leave you frustrated and worried.

I first saw my stratus parked in the used section at a Chrysler dealership. It is orchid in color and mysteriously caught my attention. My first impressions were incredible and I immediately purchased the vehicle. The power from the Mitsubishi V-6 is ... read more

Pros: Exterior style, Interior ergonomics, Passing power and comfortable seats.
Cons: Noisy cabin, expensive replacement windshield if cracked.
The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a reliable and economical car, a Stratus is defiantly worth looking into.

I purchased a dark red version of this car back in July of 2003. I was looking for a cheap, but reliable vehicle that was good on gas. This was my first car and i have to say i am very pleased with it. When i bought it it had 150,000 kms on it and a ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good value for the money
Cons: Not nearly to par with Accord or Camry
The Bottom Line: An inexpensive sedan with some good characteristics that make it a pretty good value for the money.

I bought my 1995 Dodge Stratus about 3 years ago with 90,000 miles on it. I was getting married and needed a family car I could afford. The Stratus fit the bill nicely. INTERIOR: The interior of this car is somewhat cheaply made. There are a lot ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: roomy back seat. mostly comfortable.
Cons: recalls, maintenance nightmare, bad service, transmission faulty, head gasket problems, plenty more!
The Bottom Line: Don't bother with this car. It was cheap in the beginning, but you spend a lot of time in the shop with costly repairs.

I purchased this car new in 1995. After 3 recalls in 2 years, I began to suspect this car was not a good purchase. Unfortunately, I was right. Several dealership visits, they never could find the noise (that is still plaguing this car), the ... read more

Pros: Very Roomy, powerful engine.
Cons: Bad location for a car battery. Expensive spare parts. Plagued with electrical problems.
The Bottom Line: Buy yourself a nice European or Japanese car if you want a low maintenance vehicle.

I bought a brand new 1995 Dodge Stratus. The first problem was with the A/C. One of the A/C buttons broke. In order to replace the button, I had to buy the whole A/C control unit. Front wheel joints and some transmission parts were recalled on ... read more

Pros: Dependable, Comfortable, Still looks Sporty 6 years later
Cons: Noisy cabin, small gas tank
The Bottom Line: If the machine has been treated good, regular maintenance and no major accidents, it would make a good car for anyone

I bought my 95 Stratus new and have kept up on it's maintenance religiously. I have 138,000 miles and it still runs as well as the day I bought it. It handles well, has tight steering, and besides normal maintenance hasn't presented any major problems. ... read more

Pros: Nice looking, roomy, comfortable, large trunk. Looks like a newer car. 30 mpg highway!
Cons: A little slow off the light. Small gas tank. Road noise in the cabin.
I bought this car used from the original owner as a daily work car (150 miles per day). It has been perfectly maintained and every service item was done at the dealership. The car look like new inside and out. I had to take some top executives to
