Pros: probes are fun fast and you can really fix em up phat Cons: people don't take care and diagnostic then blame it on the car? The Bottom Line: I think people who actually know a thing or two about cars should take care these undercover mazdas. I love them. Everything I want in a car.
I have to review this car because it is my third probe and it's the second probe i've had and i can tell the previous owners never put either my 93' or my 95' on diagnostic and i read people ranting about probes transmissions being 'bad' 'blowing at the ... read more

Pros: Sometimes gets me from point A to point B... Cons: Just name it. The Bottom Line: Don't waste your time or money on this atrocious Ford lemon.
All I can say about this car is "yuck". I can't wait to get rid of it. Everything rattles, squeaks, and knocks. Paint is peeling off of the side-view mirrors and the hatcback hydraulics are shot. The passenger room is close to non-existent(my fiancee is ... read more

Pros: It's a fun, sporty car. Worth the buy, runs great. Cons: The parts are expensive and there's no head room for back seat passengers. The Bottom Line: It's a fun sporty car, handles well in good or bad road conditions. Worth the buy for the fun loving person.
This car is definitely worth the buy. It's sporty, fun and has a slick design. It hugs the curves, runs like a champ. I've owned two Probes, the first one was an 89 and it was ok, for a four cylinder, but the 95 Probe v6 is great. It's definitely not a ... read more

Pros: Very nicely contoured body, fun to drive, fabulous handling, worth washing Cons: CD4E Auto Trans SUCKS. somewhat tempermental sensors & other gadgets The Bottom Line: My neighbor also has a Probe with a bad automatic transmission. Tell you something?
I recommend a MANUAL.
I bought my 95 Probe about a year ago and put 13,000 miles on it. It has been a very fun car to drive, but I must get rid of it. The transmission is going bad, which is all-too-common for Ford products. I gave Ford one last chance with the Probe, partly ... read more

I bought a 1995 Probe SE from a dealership used. I vowed to never owne a Ford, but found this one to be good looking. No I vow to absolutly NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN. As soon as I got it, the lifters began to knock. The dealership I bought it from ... read more

Pros: Great sports car for the money. Too many positives to list. Cons: Parts can be expensive; Depreciation. The Bottom Line: I would suggest this car to anyone who enjoys driving and does not need the convenience of a 4-door.
For the price, the 1993-1997 Probe is one of the best sporty cars around, especially in 'GT' trim. With the GT you get a silky smooth AND relatively fuel efficient Mazda built 2.5 liter DOHC V6, excellent brakes, and amazing handling. Not to mention ... read more

Pros: VERY reliable, excellent gas mileage, fun to drive, great car for the price! Cons: depreciating value, cramped back seats The Bottom Line: I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone who is thinking about buying it! They are great little cars for the price!
I've owned my 95 Probe for almost 5 years now, and what a cheap 5 years it has been! This car has not given me a single problem! They get great gas mileage, meaning around 25 to 27 mpg, so don't worry about having to fill it up every other 3 or 4 ... read more

Pros: Beautiful, sporty, fast Cons: More trouble than its worth
I bought a 1995 Probe in 1998, with its sweet lines and smooth ride, a black beauty with the spoiler, the kind of car all your friends get jealous over. But when it was less than a month after I bought it, that it went into the shop to stay from March ... read more

My wife purchased this car new in 1995. She wanted a laser red 5-speed GT, and we were able to find one at a local Ford dealer. We drove both an SE and a GT for comparison. The GT is a totally different car. Fast and sprung stiffly, it is a real ... read more

I own a 1995 Ford Probe GT24v, that I bought used, by one owner, early 2000. I was attracted to this car because of its sporty look and its fast engine. I could not turn down the offer I got on it. It is glossy purple with custom probe wheels. The ... read more

Although the 1995 Ford Probe SE I purchased in 1997 was below book value when I bought it I took a severe beating in the spring of 97 when Ford announced they weren't going to make the Probe anymore. Instantly the value of my car dropped almost $3000 and ... read more

I won't touch on reliability, fuel economy, or any of those catagories because I wouldn't be able to give a fair opinion anymore. I have turned my once Automatic 1995 Ford Probe GT into a "tuner" of sorts. When I bought the car It was just a second
