Pros: Durable, good gas mileage and not a bad looking car. Cons: There have been a couple recalls. The Bottom Line: Excellent car. I think it would make a good first car for a new driver, safety, comfort and price. It may not be the best looking car around.
I start with my deepest sympathy in regards to Rodeim. How I met Rodeim was because of a comment I left regarding one of his reviews and he had been one of my best teachers here at Epinions since. I will truly miss him and his great advice.

Pros: An outstanding value in performance sport sedans, Reliable, Strong aftermarket support, Great fun to drive. Cons: Minor trim problems, High front brake and clutch wear with stock parts, More bellicose than dignified compared to German competition.
Americans travelling in Europe for the first time often have a moment of culture shock when they hail a taxi and a Mercedes E-class or BMW 5-series pulls up to the curb. In America, these cars have been icons of intelligence and success for more than a...

Pros: Cheap. Safe. Comfortable and reliable. Cons: Dated design, some quality control issues. The Bottom Line: If you're on a budget and like room and comfort, you will love the Taurus. Its cheap to buy, repair, and even insure. And its safe and reliable too!
My Light Evergreen 1995 Taurus was in the Bargain News, a Connecticut-based publication known for many years for its used car listings, for $3,500, in August 2000. There were 126,000 miles on the clock but most of them seemed to be highway miles...

Pros: It's not your typical hot-rod. Awesome engine. Cons: Expensive to maintain. It's still a Taurus. The Bottom Line: I can't say it enough. I love my SHO, but I wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy. Make sure you know what you're getting in to.
The 1989-1995 Ford Taurus SHO was, to say the least, an interesting car. In the mid-80s, Ford contracted with Yamaha to build a set of high performance cylinder heads for it's 3.0 liter Vulcan engine (the mundane motivator of the Taurus) that would find ...

Pros: goes for days on empty, fits a ton of people/stuff Cons: not the flashiest car
Being a seventeen year old senior in high school, the idea of schlepping my parent's Ford Taurus stationwagon to school everyday was not exactly exciting to me, but hey, its a car! As it turns out, I love the wagon. Sure I'd rather be cruising around...

Pros: the front seats are great Cons: just about everything else The Bottom Line: I would go with a Camry or Accord. They are just made better.
Here is a summary of the rest of this review : If you are thinking about buying a Taurus of any age, make sure that the transmission was not made in Canada; the Canadian transmissions they put in the Taurus are junk and often fail before 150k ...

Pros: Reasonably Priced, nice little extra features, decent gas mileage Cons: Dashboard shakes on Interstate, Speedometer not right The Bottom Line: Great car, but like most has its glitches.
I bought my 1995 Ford Taurus in June of 2002. It was the first car I had ever purchased. I attend Eastern Illinois University and I commute there from my familys home 50 miles away in Champaign. As such I put a lot of miles on my Taurus and have ...

Pros: Acceleration, inside comfort, looks, and a trunk that Capone would love. Cons: Some inside panels 'creaky'. Have fun with that mother loving cup holder. The Bottom Line: A mover and a shaker, this car is good for anyone who wants a larger car that can still move. My favorite type of car.
The '95 Ford Taurus, fairly ubiquitous in its heyday and for a good reason. A very solid car, seats four comfortably, and five or six reasonably well. The Taurus has excellent trunk space. I owned an '89 Pontiac Bonneville prior to the Taurus, and...

Pros: quiet, smooth ride, trouble free Cons: sluggish shifting, nothing major
My family purchased our '95 Ford Taurus in 1997 and it has been a solid family car in every way. From long trips to short jaunts back and forth to work every day, the car has performed wonderfully. The ride is smooth but the suspension is firm enough...

Pros: Amazing amount of room, keyless remote, great stereo, and good on gas Cons: No to mention
Actually, that is 410,000 miles in the 3 Taurus's that I have owned, and would buy another one. The first one was a 1987. The only problems that I had with it were all fixed by Ford, and I never spent a dime on repairs on it. Unfortunately, while in...

Pros: Great ride and acceleration, dependable Cons: Kind of expensive repairs, somewhat noisy windows
I have owned my Taurus for 3 years and I put about 60,000 miles on it in those 3 years. I have been very happy with the car in all aspects except road noise. The weatherstripping on the windows seems to make a lot of noise. If you play the radio at...

Pros: Smooth ride, roomy, classy looking, durable and safe. Nice gas mileage. Cons: Gear shift is a bit ornery at times. The Bottom Line: A great car for anyone and everyone because of its safety, style, roominess, reliability, and efficiency.
I am 18 years old and a recent high school graduate. My '95 Taurus GL previously belonged to my grandfather, who drove it as he's always driven his cars: cautiously and not very often. He purchased it new in 1995. It had about 55K miles on it when I got...

Pros: SPACE!! comfy seating and sleek sexy lines. Cons: Not a rocketship off the line. Factory tires are weak and the motor mounts go easily.
I am a 19 year old college student in Illinois and my 1995 Ford Taurus Stationwagon GL was given to me by my parents upon graduating from highschool. I have driven it since my sophomore year and have put about 40k miles on it. When I first was...

I purchased a 1989 Ford Taurus a few years back and was impressed with the ride and comfort coupled with it's gas mileage. I was a little disappointed with the power thus decided to make that a priority with my next automobile. When I decided to sell, I...
