Pros: Economical to own, reliable, agile, communicative drivetrain, gas mileage, ergonomic interior Cons: Refinement compared to more modern cars, unsafe, braking, no power steering, rear seat/trunk room The Bottom Line: The reliable stripper of Honda's old lineup is not the deal it was 13 years ago but for price sensitive buyers still contains appeal
This lovingly passionate review of the dull and boring 1995 Honda Civic DX econobox will undoubtedly be made more exciting with a love story included. Fear not, there will be absolutely no mention of fart cans, winged spoilers, boy racing or trying to ...

Pros: Great Gas Mileage. Cons: Cheaply made, tend to be over-priced. The Bottom Line: The upgraded models are a drastic improvement over the CX. About all you get with the CX is good gas mileage.
Okay, I spent so much time driving and helping my girlfriend out with her 1995 Honda Civic CX that I might as well have owned the thing. The CX model was a nicely styled 2 door hatchback that was a far cry from the late 70s, early 80s equivalents. ...

Pros: Comfortable interior Cons: Noisy, less than great ergonomics
I recently drove my friend's Civic. It's a bottom of the line stripped DX coupe, and unfortunately, it felt stripped. It was a five-speed manual car with alloy wheels, air, cassette, and little else. No power locks, windows, or, STEERING!(That's right,...

Intro: 1995 Honda Civic EX 2dr coupe
I know this car is a little old but I love my car and this review may help someone in buying a good used vehicle. Its' styling still holds up to the new designs of today. My first car was an 81 Monte Carlo,...

Pros: economical, well-designed, reliable and easy to work on Cons: expensive compared to competitors The Bottom Line: The best compact car on the market.
It seems as though everyone has one of these cars. Besides myself, one of my sister's has a '99 EX sedan and the other a '01 EX sedan. Off the top of my head I can think of at least half a dozen friends who have them as well. They have the reputation for ...

Pros: Gas economy, resale value, excellent engine, sporty exterior! Cons: Materials in the car are poorly made, rust developing at rear wheel, noisy/underpowered engine. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an inexpensive, reliable, and sporty compact, this should be your first choice.
I am a 17 years old student that wanted to buy a car. I have looked at cars like the 1992 Toyota Camry V6, the 1995 Nissan Maxima SE, the 1996 Acura Integra LS, and the 1992 Infinity J30, but based on the amount of money I have, the low insurance price...

Pros: Good for the economy and by far has the most accessories Cons: Will be declassed by the NEW HONDA "INSIGHT"
I own a 1995 Honda Civic Ex Coupe. It is fully loaded with a sun-roof, cruise, dual air bags, lumbar seats, power everything, drop down back seats....much more. What I like about my vehicle is the GAS Mileage. I get 26 mpg in the City & 34 on the...

Pros: dependable, great car to build upon Cons: none
If you are import car enthusiast such as myself, you are probably into "souping" up cars. My first car was a 1995 Civic EX Coupe. I bought this car for $13,100 (before tax) after negotiating with the dealer. I knew from the day that I picked up...

3 years ago I've gotten my first used Honda Civic black, 2 doors and the model was DX. Since I was only 17 years old and I didn't know too much about cars, so I thought to myself.. umm, It's a pretty nice looking car with 2 doors and it's black. So I...

Pros: Great on gas Cons: only fit 4-5 people
The Honda Civic was the most popular while I was in High School (95-99). My sweetheart had one, and all his friends. That was the greatest car for all of us. We would ride the town, looking for fun, groups of people we knew, and went from party to...

Pros: Compact yet roomy, fuel efficient, seats fold down for extra cargo space. Cons: CX is a little wimpy, noisy at fast speeds. The Bottom Line: Excellent for day to day commuting, but a little cramped for a family car, and not much power.
The 1995 Honda Civic CX was my first car. I got it new during my last year in college. I had not yet discovered the internet, so all the research I was able to do was based on recommendations from my car-savvy brother-in-law. I was looking for...

Pros: sleek and sporty, overdrive, sound system, price, features, engine Cons: Certain carseats do not fit in the back seat
I leased a 1995 Honda Civic EX coupe brand new. I personally like the body-style of the 1995 much better than any of the newer models. Sleek and sporty. The EX is the cream of the crop for the Civics. On the other models, the door handles and the...

I bought my Civic CX hatchback new in July 1995, and 90,000 miles later I still think its the best investment I ever made. The CX is the lowest priced model in the Civic line.I ordered mine with an AM/FM radio & cassette player with 4 speakers and no...

Pros: Good mileage; reliable Cons: slightly noisy; no warning chime when you leave your lights on! The Bottom Line: Good value. Would make a great first car, parents will like the reliability, teens will like the price.
I bought my 1995 Honda Civic EX about 2 1/2 years ago from a shop that remodels and sells Hondas exclusively. I chose it because of its reputation for reliability, affordability, and great mileage. On the whole, it has lived up to that reputation.
