Pros: good pickup, good handling, removable hardtop and power rear window Cons: stigma of not being a pure sports car, not a pure sports car The Bottom Line: My first two seater, what a pleasure. I plan to own many more in my lifetime, but this little car is a true gem.
I bought my '95 del Sol SI new in early 1996. Since they stopped production on them in 1996? the only way to get one now is to buy it used. There were three different models produced, the S, the SI, and the Vtec. The S is pretty weak - if you can't ...

Pros: Troublefree. Leg and head Room. Large trunk. Safe seats. Cons: Body flex with roof off. Road noise. The Bottom Line: If it fits your needs, buy it and enjoy it. A great, reliable choice for two-seat driving.
I bought my 95 del Sol SI brand new off the dealer's floor in 1995.
Main reasons I bought the car: I needed a short vehicle but one with lots of leg and headroom (I'm 6'2"). delSol fit the bill exactly. Essentially, Honda took a 4-seat...

Pros: Hardtop/convertible hybrid,
Great gas mileage,
Turns heads on street Cons: Softer handling than older CRX,
Sparse storage space The Bottom Line: It's simply the best mix of fun, economy, and performance rolled in to a single vehicle. Great for daily commuting, and stellar with the top off on a sunny day.
I owned a 1989 CRX Si for six years, and sold it with 110K miles for $2,700. As the body started to decay from the Chicago winters, I decided it was time for a replacement. I wanted my next "daily driver" to deliver many of the same things that made me...

Pros: Sporty, unique, quick, sharp, reliable Cons: Seals are troublesome, two seats only The Bottom Line: I absolutely recommend this car for any young adult looking to get into import cars - it's cheap and troublefree.
I have owned three Honda Civic del Sols in my lifetime, and I recommend them highly to young adults looking for a sporty, yet unique car. The Honda Civic del Sol is "The Civic of the Sun" in Spanish, and comes with a targa top that is removable and stows ...

Pros: Comfortibility, Great Handling, Surprising amounts of room Cons: Is a bit cramped at first The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a fun, sporty coupe that easily converts to a convertible - then this car is for you!
I purchased my 1995 del sol SI in June and since then it's been through some heavy modifications. I started with a new paint job, etc. Nowadays, it's one pretty sweet ride. Due to Honda discontinuing the del sol in 1996, I purchased the car used from...

Pros: Nice look, Honda reliability, great performances, handling, manual gearbox Cons: Bad visibility, expensive, small trunk, brake not much powerful, ventilation inside The Bottom Line: As long as you go in a straight line without braking or turning, this car is paradise. Sporty car? Nooyeaah... Accelerates good, comfort of a sedan...
In other countries, the Del Sol is known as the CRX 3. After all, what is different? A Del Sol is a 2 seater car, sport car, from Honda, like the CRX.
Let's talk engine: that'a 1.6 liter 4 cylindre in row, giving the wheels an amazing 160 hp!...

Pros: Smooth ride and LARGE trunk compared to Miata. Super reliability! Lots of leg room. Cons: Problems with hydroplaning from light weight. Bad blind spots. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a sports car without the rough sports car ride. It's a very sound car with low maintenance. It's a HONDA!
I bought my '95 Del Sol new and have owned it now for over 6 years. I would purchase this car all over again. It is very reliable and has never given me any trouble. I have 97,000 miles on it now and the only repairs I've done are scheduled maintenance....

Pros: Sporty, compact, feisty, peppy. Cons: are there any? The Bottom Line: Great car fun to drive.
After owning a convertible before buying this car, I cringed at the thought of giving up the removable top in my car. Then I thought about the cold winters and shiverred. This car is wonderful, its small, definately not a family car. Although, with...

Pros: handling, sporty looks Cons: automatic trans. is a little lacking
The rooftop can squeak when driving down bumpy roads, and because I have an automatic version S, (single overhead cam) the automatic shifting is hard and it doesn't have a lot of pickup and go. I also am disappointed with the lower MPG - I get an average of 30 in the city, but I've gotten as high as 37 on the highway road trip to california. I would definately recommend the car though it is sporty and has a HUGE trunk for the size of the car that can haul a lot more than you realize at first.
