Pros: Dual-Climate Control, Sunroof, Felt-Safe Cons: Some major character flaws The Bottom Line: Weight the cost and the benefits before making the purchase.
Background: I am not a car enthusiast, but I do want to tell you about my first car, a 1996 Buick Regal Custom Sedan, which I bought used after graduating college in 2003. I will try to give you all the bless and whistles, but mostly I want to ...

Pros: Roomy, loaded with extras. A great ride!!! Cons: Not used to filling a gas tank that large!!! ;-)
We recently bought a Buick Regal. We got the 2-door Custom model, in mint condition. There is not a mark or a defect inside or out on this car, and to look at it, one could be led to believe that it is the 2000 model Regal. But in actuality, this...

Pros: Good size, features and safety for the money Cons: GM should fix the paint on their cars and trucks when they start peeling. The Bottom Line: Great $4,500 used car; easy on the wallet and the eyes. Avoid any 3-6 year-old white GM vehicle unless it's been repainted.
Bought this car used in July 2001 with 80K miles. As of Feb. 2004, it now has 140K miles. The car is holding up well, with two exceptions. GM still doesn't know how to paint a car white. The white paint looked like brand new when looking at the ...

Pros: Powerful engine, good gas mileage, many luxury features. Cons: Not as reliable as I would like. Uncomfortable seats for this quality of car. The Bottom Line: The car is powerful, with lots of options and luxury items. However, I feel reliability is not in line with the price tag.
I bought my 1996 Buick Regal Limited in 2000 with 75,000 miles upon it. It is a beautiful car with a very luxurious interior. It is suitably quiet and I cannot hear the engine unless I am near full power. It rides good, handles well and has plenty of...

Pros: Reliable, powerful engine, gas mileage, very roomy, A/C blows super cold Cons: Uncomfortable seats, funky transmission, poor turning radius, floaty suspension The Bottom Line: Reliable family car with plenty of room.
I've had this car for about 1.5 years now and has proven to be a great family car. When we bought it when it had only 16,000 miles and now it has 35,000 miles. Yes this is low mileage for a 1996 model, we bought it from an old lady, seriously!

Pros: easy to reach my son in the back seat. Cons: none I can think of
I bought this car because I heard it was a great family vehicle. It is a 4 door and great if you have little children. I have a 10 month old son and it fits our needs for a family car. I even have the option of putting my son in the front seat if I...

Pros: Nice engine and rides good Cons: Early failures
Nice riding car and much power. Regal owners and others of the 3.8L are prone to premature (40K miles) water pump failures which shows up as leakage. I have also had the interior door rest fall off. Certainly not the great quality I am used to with...

Pros: Soft, cushy seats, dual temp controls, car has "classic" feel to it, those SEATS! Cons: Everything. The Bottom Line: Just avoid the car, or you'll be really sorry..
Wow... where do I begin? Well, why don't I start back at the beginning! Ok... so this car used to belong to my grandma, who then gave it to my older brother. Throughout his ownership of the car (which was a mere 2 or 3 years), he put in several thousand ...

Pros: Good Gas Mileage, Comfortable, Luxury Features, Powerful Engine, trunk space Cons: American cars start dying as they get past the 100k mark, the CD player The Bottom Line: This is an excellent family car, it has everything an average person could need and it serves it's purpose well.
We bought our Buick Regal knew and overall it has been very reliable. We never had to make any major repairs on it, just basic maintenance. This car has never had problems but I can feel it starting to die.
Recently our turn signals stopped...

Pros: Power, comfort,MPG,safety family car Cons: None The Bottom Line: Considering all 's and -'s of the Regal I would recommend it.
I've recently rebuild transmission on my Regal for $2300CAN.
But it was my fault, I think. When I bought the car it was underestimated by me and my mechanic (it was pre-owned car). But any way I like the car. Very comfortable and powerfull, good on...

Pros: Nice-looking car, smooth runner for being so heavy, very impressive gas-mileage. Cons: Slew of electrical problems, peeling paint, problematic recalls, extremely dangerous safety issues. The Bottom Line: If you want a nice car, that's what this is. But anyone can get into an accident, and when that happens, you could lose your very life.
My Dad got this vehicle, used, and has loved it. The seats are comfortable to someone his size (though as a short person I beg to differ), and it steered and ran nicely for the most part. However, it has always had problems with electrical components ...

Pros: Roomy, Comfortable, Great Stereo, Pretty to look at Cons: Bad Brakes, Bad Starter, Expensive Repairs
I bought this vehicle from a local dealer because I needed a car and it was recommended to be reliable. It has been in the shop numerous times for ABS brakes, rotors that were completely rusted though, fuel injectors, starter going out, etc. Now I...
