Pros: Good reliability, fuel economy. Real chrome bumpers. It still has the original muffler.
Cons: bench seat is uncomfortable, 2 instrument lights have gone out,
The Bottom Line: I think this is as good as Toyota without the higher price. I have over a quarter of a million miles and it still is strong.
I purchased my 1996 Nissan XE P/U in 1999 with 43,000 miles. It now has over 258,000. I have had the manual transmission rebuilt at 200k as well as the clutch but that was still working. I have replaced 2 alternators in 8 years, probably not bad but ... read more

Pros: Dependable, tough, good-looking, reasonable gas mileage. (24 mpg hwy 4x4 4cyl)
Cons: No frills at all, loud in cab, brakes squeak
The Bottom Line: Need a low-cost, dependable 4x4? I'd recommend this in a heartbeat.

Pros: Reliability Economy Easy to work on. Parts are readily available.
Cons: Not much room especially with 3 people. Engine power is adequate for around town only.
I bought this pickup brand new in October 1996 as a year end close out. It has always served me well and never let me down. When I was looking for a new vehicle at the time first I looked at Toyota trucks, but quickly decided that I got more for my money
