Pros: Styling, interior, 8-way heated power leather seats w/ memory, easy-to-use controls Cons: Gas mileage, off-the-line power, electrical glitches (interior), insufficient cup holders The Bottom Line: Buy one as an alternative to a BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes. All the frills, but won't leave you broke.
My girlfriend was practically frothing at the idea of owning a luxury convertible (she had never owned one, and it had always been a life's dream of hers), so I started researching models based on price, options, and reliability. We weren't keen on the ...

Pros: Looks Great, Great Gas Mileage, Automatic Top, A Lot of Car for the Money Cons: Lacking Performance of a Turbo, Expensive Repairs (but only when necessary!) The Bottom Line: Buying a quality used Saab is a great car... safe, reliable, looks great (1996 body style is similar to current models!), and well worth the money!

Pros: 30 mpg Turbo. Convertible fun that is great in the snow too. Cons: Not as high performance as some in the price range. The Bottom Line: Great year round fun.

Pros: Ragtops are fun in the summer and cozy in the winter. Cons: WIsh I was 20 years younger
When I was in high school I had a 1964 Austin Healy 3000, I sure enjoyed that car and never got ragtops out of my system.
Now I am 50 and married with 2 children and have a 1996 900S convertible with 117,000 miles. I have had one other saab convertible and it too was a great car. These cars are really well made and they are fun to drive. The 900 is a solid car that has a great history. How many other car companies use to make airplanes? There is also the "not everyone has one" factor. This car is very comfortable and has too many great features to list.
