Pros: good mileage Cons: see review
We purchased a new Saturn SL2 in 1996, it was our first new family car. The first thing we noticed in the showroom was that they were not pushy, it was clean, and information was everywhere. We quickly were given a welcome and we test drove our...

Pros: reliable, comfortable, good safety ratings, nice ride Cons: price
If you are thinking about buying a new car, definitely check into a Saturn! First of all, buying a Saturn is a new and unusual automobile buying experience. Instead of playing the money game with salesman after salesman and finally the manager like...

Pros: You can kick it! Cons: no real power, rattles after a few years
This is a pretty cool car. The Saturn has some awful nice options I wish my car had. Namely the panels are some sort of plastic so you can bang them up real good and they don't dent. To demonstrate this the salesman literally kicked the door, and offered...

Pros: Great mileage, excellent handling, well appointed and very comfortable. Cons: The trunk needs a well, and that's about it.
I had for several years watched with interest as the "Saturn phenomenon" grew in both volume and intensity. I was rather surprised, after doing some research, to learn that the company was actually trying to do what it had set out to do, which...

Pros: Comfortable, powerful, roomy, reliable Cons: Noisy Engine
My family and I own a 1996 Saturn SL1 and we love it! We bought it used from a Chrysler dealer in October of 1998 with 40,000 miles on it and now it has 75,000 nearly trouble free miles. When we purchased this car we were actually in the market for a...

Pros: Great gas mileage! Cons: Seem to have a "cheap" image.
My parents leased a Saturn SL2 in 1996 for me as Christmas gift. At the time, I didn't know much about Saturns, but I really liked the look of it. I was 19 at the time and it was such a great car to drive 2 hours back and forth to college. When I got...

Pros: Where do I begin??? Cons: The back is a little cramped...but no big deal.
My husband and I both were looking for a car that was economical yet large enough for a growing family to start out with. We found a 1996 Saturn SL2 at a used car lot in town, and it was the best decsion we've mde. We purchased it with only 28,000 miles...

I come from a long line of truck owners. We have bought Dodge for as long as I could remember. But I wanted a car for traffic situations. So I did some research. About 45 hours to be exact.. All before I found out about epinions unfortunatly, but...

Pros: accelerates fast, a lot of car for the money, low maintenance $ Cons: Tires wear out fast, interior kind of cheap.
I bought a new Saturn SL2 in 1996 for a lot of around-town driving and occasional camping, skiing, and Disneyland trips. I like this car because I worry about it less than any other car I've owned (including a new Acura Integra).
Why don't I...

Pros: As basic transportation, you could do worse. Cons: Three transmissions in 60k miles? The Bottom Line: Okay transportation, but faulty transmission design could spell expensive repeated repairs.
We bought our '96 SL new from the dealer; my wife insisted it made her "feel like a princess" when driving it. Their no-haggle policy made it easy to buy; I didn't even go with her to pick it out.
And over the past five years it's started...

Pros: Reliable, Reasonably Priced, Excellent Service. Cons: Some areas may not have a retail/service outlet.
I was one of the original owners of the "new" Saturn car when they were first made in 1992. Driving the Saturn was like being part of a band of road rebels. Everywhere I stopped for gas, people would ask "What is that?" Other...

Pros: safe, reliable, affordable Cons: none
With a baby on the way and a wife needing a safe car, my only option was to turn to Saturn. Inside the dealership was a Saturn with a cutaway view of the safety features. This impressed me. There are reinforcements everywhere, and with safety as my...

Pros: good gas mileage when it runs, air conditioner is still working Cons: Motor lasted only 50,000 miles.
Warranty too short 36,000 miles. The Bottom Line: I would never recommend this car. Saturn isn't consistent when standing behind their products. They might fix mine, but not yours even if we have the same problem.
Our 1996 Saturn was working fine... until this past Tuesday. Then it just stopped. We had it towed to Saturn after talking to THREE other people who had head problems with their 96 Saturns. They told us how helpful Saturn was and that they would offer...

Pros: Service, Dependability, Price Cons: None
Everything you hear about the service at a Saturn dealership is so true! We wanted a good, inexpensive but dependable car when we went vehicle shopping in 1995. We decided to go with the Saturn SL after seeing what was offered. That car was wonderful!...
