Pros: Reliability, durability, just right interior size, respectable bed size, power. Cons: Some minor things after 130k, towing is likely better with the domestic full size trucks. The Bottom Line: Absolutely recommended. Perfect size - bigger than a dakota, but smaller than a full-size. No hesitations to drive it anywhere.
This is my 3rd Toy truck, all increasing in size. 1984, '90, and this '96, all 2wd 5sp. If you are familiar with the earlier Toy's, I think there are some areas that they did some cost-cutting on this one, but it's still a wonderful truck that I'd keep ...

Pros: reliable, durable, handling, engine torque, comfort, looks, and features Cons: gas mileage, dealership service The Bottom Line: Great buy. Has stood the test of time with flying colors. Many years left if cared for.
I am finishing up my 7th year on this vehicle and it looks as sharp as when I bought it. Most are impressed with its age and performance.
The Toyota dealership service department has been my biggest complaint with improper and incomplete service....
