Pros: Everything except the missing head rests for the back seat and the large turn radius Cons: No head rest for the back seat. Needs lots of room to turn around. The Bottom Line: Good buy for someone who neither needs nor wants all the bells and whistles.

Pros: Sporty Looking, Easy to Maneuver, Dark Tinted Privacy Windows Cons: Nothing The Bottom Line: Our entire family loves this Blazer for its easy maneuverability, sporty looks, and better than average gas mileage for a SUV.
We bought our 2-door 4 wheel drive 1997 Chevy Blazer new in February of 1997. It currently has 87,000 miles on it. If you are researching for a used sport utility vehicle, I am sure you are wanting to find out about the reliability,...

Pros: Comfortable, spacious, fast Cons: Brakes, Transmission Hump, Right side mirror
I bought the Blazer because my Jeep Wrangler was old and I blew up it's engine. Jeep wanted to charge me about $5000 for a new motor, after telling me that it would be $2000. You can't just buy an engine, they have to MAKE you one. So, I decided I would...

Pros: Decent engine and 4x4 system Cons: Overpriced, Cheap Interior (too much plastic),Terrible seats
This vehicle (97 model year) is/was overpriced. A family member bought one brand new in 97 for approx $25k (it was the 2door 4x4).
The interior is very insipid. I have yet to see a GM automobile that didn't have very dull looking interior.Way...

Pros: nearly everything for the money Cons: unusual failures with parts
I purchased this car virtually new and after a short time was involved in an accident. After the accident I have had many problems with it. The most irritating of the problems was that the engine managed to overheat and warp the heads thus destroying the...

Pros: Has many options Cons: small gas tank
I have a '97 4 door LT s-10 Blazer and I love it. The leather seats are so easy to clean, since my 2 pugs travel with us and I have an infant (no spoiled milk smells.) It is sporty and the perfect size. I especially appreciate the room it has around...

Pros: lots of extras, insurance reasonable, comfy seats & roomy Cons: gas mileage
I first want to start of by noting the first two vehicles I've owned. A 1986 Ford Mustang and a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am. What two hunks of junk! So, I'm sure you can imagine my delight at buying an almost brand new 4 door LE 4x4 Blazer! I haven't had the...

Pros: Excellent in Snow Cons: Not as roomy as expected
My first experience of owning a SUV has been a positive one. I really like to ride up high and when there is snowy weather the convenience of just pushing a button to put it into 4-wheel drive is great. It handles very well in 4-wheel drive and I feel...

Pros: Sturdy, takes a lot of punishment, handles well and pretty, to boot! Cons: she DOES eat the gas!!!!
Well, after living in NYC for over 15 years, I decided to head for the wilds of Maine (well, okay, Bangor, but compared to NYC, it IS the wilds!) ... and of course, I'd need a car or some sort of automobile. Not having owned a car for 15 years, I...

Pros: Handsome vehicle, POWER, so many options Cons: I wasn't used to a vehicle quite this big, but I learned to love it.
This is one awesome sports utility vehicle! My first car was a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire. It was such a great little car, but when it came winter-time, it seemed like my little 'fire got no playing time. I live on a long back road and when my area got all...

Pros: Comfortable ride Cons: none
I just bought this 97 blazer and so far it's a great suv. Can't really give much of an opinion cause I'm fairly new to suv's. But what I can say is that this suv is so far everything that I expected and more. It's snowing up here in the northeast and...

Pros: Nice price and perfect size Cons: Doesn't corner as well as I would like
I realize that I'm only 21, and my true ideas are just now forming, but if someone would have told me 2 years ago that I would have bought an SUV, I would have laughed. I always kind of cringed at those people driving their expensive cars, talking on...

Pros: Great ride for all Cons: It can be tricky to get in if you are wearing a short skirt.
I purchased a 1997 Chevy Blazer LS this past winter. I knew right away when I went to buy a new car that I wanted an SUV. I has power steering, tilt and cruise control. Bucket seats with adjustable lumbar support and powered adjustable seats.
