Jan 5, 2008 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very high mileage and reliability
Cons: Car small, if in serious accident, would probably be fatal
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for high mileage, low maintance and economy, this is it. I sincerely believe they don't make this car any longer. I hope I am wrong.

I have owned my 1997 Geo Metro for 11 years. This is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. It has a Japanese engine and that's why I bought it. I am strictly economy all the way. This little sweetheart used to get 47 mpg, not kidding!! ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good A/C, excellent mileage per gallon, reliable transportation.
Cons: The wind can really blow this car, but not out of a lane.
The Bottom Line: I've heard about Toyota, about how it keeps on going. I feel the same way about Geo Metro. This car is good for someone who is 5'9" or under.

In 1997, after having a turbo sports car for over 7 years, that was loaded with features, I decided it was time to buy a new car. I took a complete 90 degree turn to say the least. I purchased a new 1997, 4 cylinder, Geo Metro Sedan 4-door standard. ... read more
