Pros: Zippy acceleration with five speed. Buttery control speed with gearshift engine braking. Still purrs. Cons: Small car in world of SUV's, pickups and crossovers. The Bottom Line: Buy it if you can find one in good shape, if you want reliability, performance among daily driving situations, and like to blend in with the crowd.

Pros: Smooth, Roomy, Comfortable Cons: Not always affordable as a used car. The Bottom Line: Why didn't I start with a Honda to begin with?
After being the one to have some of the crappiest luck with cars, I decided to get a Honda. I know these are not the cheapest cars, and to find an affordable one used is one of the hardest things to find. I had a 2000 Contour with 120,000 miles that ... read more

Pros: Everyone likes a Honda, of course Reliable Cons: BORING The Bottom Line: Check all your options. Get a manual!
To be honest I can sum up this car in one word. The word isn't "great", it isn't "amazing" or "reliable", the word I can think of is "Honda". Honda means many things to many people. To me, Honda is the brand that is just there, and so is this car. ... read more

Pros: Amenities; solid body structure; build quality; handling at highway speeds Cons: Noisy; lack of engine power; transmission whine The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this car. I think its a nice car but way overrated and unsuitable for daily driving in big cities.
I leased a '97 Accord EX 4-cylinder back in the early winter of 1997 and kept it until it was stolen in early 1999. The best thing about the car was its build quality. The doors slammed solidly, yet quietly, and the entire car felt as solid as a bank ... read more

Revised review Jan 12, 2004. See original review below. I have even more reason to be concerned about quality. Last week, at 85,000 miles, an oil seal went out and I lost all my oil, I noticed quickly and pulled off, someone with less auto experience ... read more
