Pros: Well-Engineered. Smooth 2.0 liter engine. Plenty of Passenger room. Cons: Needs more torque! Factory tires MUCH too soft and wear out quickly. The Bottom Line: A reliable little around-town workhorse that goes great in the rain and snow. Roomier that SUVs twice it's size. Well-engineered and easy to maintain (should it ever need maintenance!)
This is one great car.
I say car because it is not an over-grown truck-like SUV. The CR-V doesn't handle like a truck, either. It handles well and is the perfect vehicle that combines the best parts of a mini-van, a daily-driver Honda Civic...

Pros: Roomy, All wheel drive, Good on gas Cons: Wimpy motor, No Lumbar support
What a great looking SUV! How do they make all of this room in here with such a small body? Check out this little table in the back and the storage room under it! Look at these cool arm rest and reclining rear seats for my kids as we ride to Wal...

Pros: Lots Of Fun Features, Reliability Cons: Some Controls Placed In Funny Places
First and foremost I just want to say I love Hondas. My first car was a Honda, and if I have my way I will be buried in one! So it was no surprise to anyone that when I traded in my Prelude for my new family wagon, it was a CRV. But ironically this is no...

Pros: Great features, like Real-Time 4 wheel drive, two power ports, and a dry wheel with picnic table. Very comfortable and roomy ride. Cons: No arm rest on the passenger side.
Why does your search stop here? Well, in my opinion, this car gives you a lot of bang for the buck. I test drove many SUV models, from the Toyota RAV4 to the Isuzu Rodeo to the Honda Passport, and found that this car is perfect for someone who is...

Pros: Great value Cons: Hard to see when looking back
CRV brought the SUV to the average person. It was one of the first affordable SUV's and one of the best. The CRV is a great value with lots of room for the family and cargo. The seats fold down with ease once you have done it a couple of times. The...

Pros: Economical, practical, great handling Cons: Somewhat short on power (1997 model)
I purchased my CR-V on Oct. 13, 1997 and now have 106,678 miles on it. I have had no problems just normal service. I use it for work. I pull a small trailer with a ATV which weighs about 950 lbs. about 20% of the time. My gas milage is 23 MPG. When you...

Pros: Roomy, Versatile, Great Travel Vehicle Cons: Lacks power with 4 cylinder engine
For those of us who refuse to join the ranks of owning a family van, the Honda CRV is the perfect alternative. It's roomy with plenty of storage for families on the go. It's versatile. Need to stop for lunch? Pull out the picnic table in the back and...

Pros: Appearance, Price, Comfort Cons: Engine, Air condition
I purchased my Honda C-RV in the end of 1997 and have been very happy with it. It's very reliable and solid build car. Sure it does not offer a lot of interior room and power as big SUVs - but it costs almost 50% less.
Why did I buy this...

Pros: Reliable and "right-sized" (for us) Cons: Not cheap and underpowered
My wife had been driving a Mitsubishi Expo LRV for over 7 years and it had become very unreliable. The last time it broke down was the last straw for her and she commanded that I go forth and obtain a new vehicle for her.
Why we bought the...

Pros: a cost-effective way to get AWD in a nice package Cons: could use more horsepower
I was ready to buy a Suburu Forester until I actually drove them both. The Forester felt cramped compared to the CR-V. Honda really knows how to design an interior so it is comfortable and user friendly.
I've had my 1997 CR-V for three years...

Pros: Reliable Cons: none
I have driven the Honda CR-V for two years. This car is a dream to own. It is nice looking. It is clearly not a gas-guzzler like many other truck style vehicles. There is nothing truck like about the Honda CR-V.
It rides very much like...

Pros: Comfortable ride, cargo room Cons: Lack of power, poor fuel economy The Bottom Line: Good vehicle overall if power is not a major concern
This is the first Honda that I have owned. When I first decided to get an SUV, I knew that I didn't want a full-size one; at that time, the only available choices were the Toyota RAV-4, the Suzuki Sidekick, and the Honda CR-V. I eliminated the Suzuki...

Pros: Good hybrid of AWD and carlike features, not too big or small, good gas mlg Cons: could use more horsepower-especially on hills with full load
For people in the market looking for a hybrid car and SUV the Honda CRV is a nice, reliable choice. It's roomy for both passengers and cargo and rides more like a car than the average truck-based SUV. For people who don't want to be bothered with...

Pros: Versatile, economical, reliable, fun, roomy, all wheel drive, tight turning, great visibility, 2-way rear hatch Cons: Ground clearance, passenger arm rest, slow power window speed The Bottom Line: I'd buy the same model and year again. Great mileage, reliable, versatile, nimble, tight turning, roomy rear seat for head and legs, visibility, and traction.
In 2003, I read reviews by a consumers product evaluation magazine before buying a used 1997 CR-V with 50,000 miles. The magazine raved about its reliability and crash worthiness. Reliability has been excellent for me. It now has 110,000 miles, averaging ...
