The 1997 Honda Civic 4 door is a comfortable, peppy small car to drive, that really doesn’t feel that small. This report is based on a Canadian-spec EX model, with 4 speed automatic. Our first Honda was a 1984 Accord. The 1997 ... read more

Pros: Gas mileage, Honda Reliability, cheap service Cons: Road noise, required timing belt maintenance The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car if you're looking for a small, reliable car. It has it's squeaks and rattles, but for this price, that's what you get.
I’ve owned my Honda Civic LX for two years now. It is a pretty good economy car, although that’s all it is – a good way to get from point A to point B. There are a few things I’d change, but all of these I knew when I bought it so they are all livable. ... read more
