Pros: Fun to drive, very manuverable, goes anywhere. Cons: Not practical. The Bottom Line: Great for what it's designed to do. Horrible for everything else
I sit there, and I laugh at those people typing negative Epinions about the Wrangler, better known as the TJ... I look at those people, and I say "then why did you get it?" It's like me saying, "my Honda civic is great, but it doesn't do a good ... read more

Pros: Fun all around car, "Jeep Wave", Jeep community Cons: constant fixes, poor gas milage The Bottom Line: You have to be a Jeep person to want a Wrangler, but if you are, definitely go for it!
I cannot say how much I love driving my Jeep. I have a 1997, 4 cylinder, manual transmission Wrangler, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Of course there's always the hassle of owning an 11-year-old car, but that's half the fun of it. Yes the top ... read more

Pros: It's a Jeep. Cons: The soft top redesign stinks, and the '97 overall is too carlike for a Jeep. The Bottom Line: Please don't adopt a Jeep unless you're willing and able to give it the exercise, care, and lifestyle it needs to be happy. You'll be happier with a car anyway.
Q: What's so great about a Jeep? A: Everything. Q: But it's just a car, what's the big deal? A: It's not a car. It's a Jeep. Q: But the ride is so rough -- it's like a nonstop amusement park ride. A: Exactly. Q: Oh, come on, nobody could ... read more

I've had my '97 Jeep Wrangler for 3 years now and its been the most reliable car I've ever owned. Its not without its drawbacks, but the Jeep has proven to be what people think of when they think of jeeps, fun and rugged. One thing I think people ... read more

Pros: A great stylish vehicle. Resale value has to be unmatched. Cons: Quality is questionable. Getting sick of repair after repair. The Bottom Line: I would definitely buy one again. I should have waited to get a 2003 or newer. Don't skimp get all the options including the hard top.
I bought my Jeep Wrangler Sahara in the summer of 2004. I have wanted one for awhile but couldn't find one that fit my budget, being the fact that I am only a college student. After I bought it the problems started (for me at least). A month or so ... read more

Pros: Blast to drive, strong, durable, and lot's of after market goodies! Cons: Gas mileage, no real security with a soft top. The Bottom Line: If you've never spent much time in one before, talk to other owners about any draw backs they've experienced.

Pros: Fun, Fun, Fun--nothing like a Jeep on the market Cons: breakdowns all the time, mildew, 4cyl too weak to do much The Bottom Line: I would never own another Jeep again because of the unreliability. Although fun, the Jeep vandalism and excessive repairs made the Jeep much less worth it.
I would have to say that I was VERY excited to be buying my '97 Jeep Wrangler SE soft top as a freshman in college. Well that was several years ago and I have had to have some real Jeepin' pain to learn my lesson. On the bright side, there is no ... read more

Pros: Rugged, great off-road capability, convertible, sense of freedom. Women dig it everywhere you go. Cons: Their jealous boyfriends. The Bottom Line: It's a lifestyle vehicle. Not for the picky consumer type who wants everything that's not native to the Jeep.
The best thing about a Jeep is the soft top. Yes, many people complain about it. But it's really a blessing in disguise. Adapt your lifestyle to the Jeep instead of trying to transform the vehicle to suit your non-Jeep lifestyle. You will be glad. ... read more

I expected this however. The Bottom Line: Do your research on what you want the vehicle to do before you purchase. Jeep people understand its small issues and they learn to love them.
