Pros: Great Fuel Economy Cons: Could Use A Bit More Power The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck to anyone who wants spend time on the road rather than the repar shop.
Beautiful Exterior and after four years the paint job looks like new ( I do wash the car at least once a week ) . I was looking for a work truck to haul heavy Photo Equipment and have noticed that it handles much better with a load in the back. Mine is ... read more

Pros: Comfy seats, smooth ride, fairly roomy for small truck, cute and cozy! Cons: Unreliable (constant problems with exhaust system) - that's my only complaint with the truck. The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend buying a Toyota Tacoma, but I would not recommend taking it to the dealer unless it's warrantied.
This is the first truck I've ever bought, and I've had a rather mixed experience. I bought it a year ago as a work truck. I average 25-30,000 miles a year so the 2wd has been great for the lower gas mileage. Also, I have a lot of gear for work but ... read more

Pros: Value, Dependable, great ride, 4WD is incredible. Cons: Sound system not the greatest. Leather interior not available. Thats it. The Bottom Line: 150,000 miles, only one small (warranty) repair. Great in snow and mud. Great looks. I would still pay purchase price for this vehicle with the 150,000 miles on it!
I bought my Tacoma new in 1997. First new vehicle, and first Pick-up. I have never regretted this purchase. My Tacoma is the Extended cab, 4 wheel drive, SR-5, with all options available. I opted for the 5 speed manual shift, and the smaller 4 ... read more

Pros: Fuel economy, Toyota reliability Cons: Inability to "soup up"
I am the second owner of a little burgundy x-tra cab pickup called Tacoma. I purchased it last July. I use it to drive back and forth to school and work. The peppy little 142 horsepower 4-banger sips fuel, as I average around 30 mpg on the highway. The ... read more

I origanlly bought this Vehicle because it was inexpensive, though I thought that for the price I paid (under 10k) I would only get what I paid for. I could not have been more wrong. My Tacoma runs great and has never had a maintnance issue (other than ... read more

I am the proud owner of the 4x4 ex cab mentioned in skydemon66's opinion. Id like to expand on his views (basically all of it is true). I’ve been drawn to toyota pickups largely because i don't like lallygagging around with downtime in the fixit shop. ... read more

We had just bought a new 14' fishing boat, and needed a truck to tow it with. We wanted a mid sized truck that would fit in the garage, and had reasonable gas mileage. We did our research through tons of auto magazines, and also on the internet. A ... read more

Pros: Tacoma owner again, now 1997 model Cons: Miss my SR5 V6 1996 Tacoma
Giving up my Fully Loaded 1996 SR5 V6 Toyota Tacoma for a 2000 VW Jetta was the worst mistake I made 6 months ago. Now, I'm back in a Tacoma. Lost big bucks trading in my 2000 Jetta for a '97 Tacoma LX, but I have no regrets. Unfortunately, I'm in a 4 ... read more

I had always wanted a Toyota 4X4. I finally got one in '97. This truck was perfect. It had enough leg room in the back for an adult and a kid seat. The truck was unstoppable. I had it in snow, sand and 2 1/2 feet of mud and water and was never stuck. ... read more
