Pros: Audi's Quattro system, attractive styling, Tiptronic AT & Bose stereo system.
Cons: Low hp/torque for such a heavy vehicle & expensive to maintain (after warranty expires).

Pros: Great ride, handling and comfort, bought it for my business.
Cons: Spending more $$ and time on repairs than I can afford anymore.
I bought a used '98 A6 Quattro a few years ago. Since then I've spent an unusual amount of time and money on recalls and repairs. Took it in again last month for the Check Engine light. Service dept. ran diagnostics but wasn't sure what the problem was-- but it didn't stop them from asking if I wanted to "try" one of two different repairs at my expense, in an attempt to resolve the problem?
This is a very frustrating ownership experience.

Cons: Over $2,500 a year in repairs + 11 recalls. A $40,000+
hunk of junk.
We just received our eleventh factory recall for our A6. They should have issued recalls for about a hundred other problems. The only thing worse than Audi's quality is their warranty service. Just look up 1998 Audi recalls on the web and discover just how bad a car can be.
