Pros: Great engine power, flexible seating arrangements Cons: Cheap plastic with expensive replacement parts, bum power slider, electrical gremlins=expensive repairs The Bottom Line: Stay far, far away! The only good thing about it was the engine, and even that was ready to blow a gasket before 90,000.
The positive reviews from '99 and '00 were one of the reasons that we chose to buy a used '98 Chevy Venture off a lease with about 35,000 miles on it. It was pretty, comfortable, and had a cool power slider on one of the sides. Best of all, we could ... read more

Pros: two doors (well...the automatic one is a little disfunctional) Cons: it broke down on me a few times already The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this car. It has too many flaws and the seats the way the seats are arranged makes it difficult to get in and out.
This car is absolutely terrible. I don't know why so many people would recommend it. Obviously, I won't! I'll explain. First of all, the door doesn't cooperate at all. The seats are terribly uncomfortable and the things that you push down to keep ... read more

Pros: Double slide doors, attractive Cons: Brakes, cheap plastic accessories, faulty computer, too many to mention here! The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. Has many problems and Chevy dealers either don't know how to fix or don't care to.
We bought this van when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. We needed something larger and more dependable, so we opted for the Venture. Bad idea. It has been nothing but problems. While under warranty, the brakes were replaced three times (I am not hard ... read more

Pros: seats 7, comes with 3 or 4 doors, power everything Cons: only a v6? give me power! Back seats not very comfortable
This minivan is Chevy's jump into the world of minivans. I suppose that Chevy figured if every other company can sell a minivan, so could they. Well, I suppose a minivan is a minivan, but the 1998 3-door version left much to be desired.

Pros: Almost everything Cons: cup holders, rattling noises The Bottom Line: This has been a great vehicle so far. I highly recommend it for any one who needs a minivan but doesn't want to feel like they are driving one.
With the birth of our third child we needed a bigger vehicle (we had a 1996 Ford Taurus before)but I was not looking forward to driving a minivan. I have heard bad things about the way they drive but thankfully this one feels almost like driving a car! ... read more

Pros: This Van i find spacious, and the seats are easy to remove and replace quickly. Cons: Some repairs can be costly, The dealer wanted to maintain too many things.
The Bottom Line: Find one, buy one, save it as a hand me down. Someone will love this one after upgrading from decade old mod's of transport.
All my life I wanted a sports car. I can remember sitting on the street corner watching the 'Knight Riders' drive by. After a decade of owning subpar vehicles, from my first 1985 Buick to the 85 Ford Ranger, i never thought i would own a van. ... read more
