Jul 16 '07

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Comfy, well-made, dependable
Cons: Not as sporty as Honda likes to think
The Bottom Line: Looking for a quality used car? Check out the Generation 6 Accord; though the coupe is not a good choice for families

When you leave your car at a dealership for an extended period and get handed the keys to a loaner, you always hope for the best: when Amber said I'd be driving a loaner from my local Honda dealer, I - of course - inquired about the availability of a ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 2.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Good performance, handling, value for the money (LX-V6), great interior ergonomics, resale value.
Cons: Tight rear seat, cheap wheel covers, no break-away mirrors, LX-V6 lacks 5-speed,dismal reliability.
The Bottom Line: A good used car value, provided you avoid the early production quality control problems. If you buy it from a Honda dealership get it certified w/the extended warranty.

The Good After buying used 3 Accords, a Prelude and an Integra in the past, buying a new '98 Accord Coupe LX V-6 was an easy choice. The car is great on the highway - it has good acceleration, a smooth ride, good handling and a very strong engine, ...

A little over a year ago, while mulling over the decision to propose to my girlfriend I decided to finally buy my first new car. I had been driving a 1988 Toyota Camry which I really liked, but it was getting old and lots of miles on it. My girlfriend...

The Bottom Line: Well engineered car.

I drove our '98 Accord EX for almost three years, and now my wife is happily driving it. It has been virtually trouble free and a capable performer - what you expect from a Honda.

1998 marked the last major redesign for the Accord (a new...

This wasn't actually my car, it was my parents'. However, I did spend a lot of time in it and I loved it. I got a chance to drive it a few times and it was a dream.

Pros: Great reliable car, awesome looking, powerful
Cons: Price

Among all of the popular mid-sized cars today, such as the Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, Nissan Maxima, and many others, my 1998 Honda Accord V6 LX Coupe gleams brightly in my eye, as well as others'. What's not to love about sharp lines, 200 horsepower,...

Pros: excellent V6, nice interior & stereo
Cons: plain styling, needs performance tires

Our 1998 Honda Accord is our third Honda and it didn't dissappoint us. Previously, we owned an '88 CRX Si and a '94 del Sol Si. The looks of the Accord EX-V6 sedan are a bit deceiving. It really has no flair to it and the only indication of what is...

Pros: Overall quality, Reliability, Ergonomics, Clean-running and efficient engine
Cons: Cheap sound system, Not particularly exciting

I've been driving a 1998 Honda Accord EX for a little over 2 years now, with no problems whatsoever. This is actually the one of 2 Accords at my house, the other being a 1990. With nearly 180,000 miles on it, the 1990 Accord still runs reliably. But...

Cons: The ride is so smooth, you may get speeding tickets.

After a life of driving "rust buckets", I finally convinced my husband that he needed a new vehicle image. He test drove several makes and models, and almost settled for a Toyota Camry. A trip to the Honda dealership changed all that. He...

I owned a Honda Accord from the first year that it came out in 1998 with the newer body style. After having driven my friends 1995 Honda Accord, I can say that this is a much better vehicle than its forebearer. The only reason I got rid of this car was...

When my 1990 Grand Prix's transmission went out, to the tune of $1500, I decided to buy a new car. I asked many other people what they thought about their cars, and everyone liked their Accords and Camrys. I also checked out the Maxima and Altima.
