Pros: good gas mileage Cons: incredibly poor reliability
My Honda Accord is a complete bust. I am hardly exaggerating when I say that most of the miles I've put on the car have been to the dealership for repairs. The head gasket broke. The electrical system has had horrible problems. The worst when the brakes...

Pros: Styling, and overall best looking coupe in it's class Cons: Expensive problems (Moonroof gets stuck, transmission breaks) The Bottom Line: The 1998 V6 engine was brand new. After 3years transmission problems are among many problems that have surfaced. Don't play russian roulette. Buy a newer model.
When Honda came out with the new 200hp engine in 1998 all Honda lovers cheered. Now 4 years later when they have been put to the test there is now evident, a serious problem with the transmissions. I have gone to other web-sites and heard the same...

Pros: Sharp styling Cons: Reliability and Craftsmanship The Bottom Line: A car giving me nothing but headaches which I hope no one else has to go through.
As soon as I saw the flamenco black pearl V6EX coupe with the honda bodykit, spoiler, floormats, exhuast tips and black chrome emblems, I knew I had to buy it. This was back in June of 1998 when they craze to get these coupes were intense. I rolled off...

Pros: Looks good, handles well, roomy Cons: Bad seats
When my Mercury Sable was totaled, I began searching for a reliable car and while driving the interim rental, a Chevrolet Lumina, my lower back never felt better. Four days after purchasing my 1998 Accord, I was in pain which increases the more time I...

Pros: Good performance, handling, value for the money (LX-V6), great interior ergonomics, resale value. Cons: Tight rear seat, cheap wheel covers, no break-away mirrors, LX-V6 lacks 5-speed,dismal reliability. The Bottom Line: A good used car value, provided you avoid the early production quality control problems. If you buy it from a Honda dealership get it certified w/the extended warranty.
The Good After buying used 3 Accords, a Prelude and an Integra in the past, buying a new '98 Accord Coupe LX V-6 was an easy choice. The car is great on the highway - it has good acceleration, a smooth ride, good handling and a very strong engine, ...

Pros: powerful, turns on a dime, looks good Cons: not very comfortable to drive, small, cheap parking break The Bottom Line: Ultimately, I do not recommend this car at all. It seems that what is important was overlooked in the making of this vehicle.
Just to tell a little story. I drive a 1993 Toyota camry. It was an option for me this past year to sell my camry and get this 1998 Accord. I stuck with my camry. Even with all the miles and everything.
Basically the only good things I see...

Pros: Power, reliability, good gas mileage for engine size Cons: inaccurate speedometer manufacturers standard 10%+/- is a turn off for me
I own a Honda Accord 98 V6 with all the whistles and bells. Discovered that my speedometer is 10% inaccurate. Dealer replaced it at 11k but told me new one would also be off by up to 10%. Honda recently sent me a letter saying their speedometers are...

Pros: Build quality, V-6, reliablilty. Cons: Awful seats, confused auto transmission The Bottom Line: Its recommended for folks that don't have a bad lower back and don't drive aggressively.
1998 Accord EX V-6 automatic. First year of the new body style.
This car is quite well made, and only exhibits a rattle from the sunroof after 55K miles.
Typically good Honda reliablilty, its only needed regular services.
The VTEC...

Pros: Solid Cons: Ugly
Of the Japanese cars, this would rank average. While one would ask what a red-blooded American is doing in a Jap car, one must consider the ridiculousness of the Taurus in recent years. While the Taurus 2000 will shatter its competion, the Ford has...

Pros: Great performance and handling. Cons: It is kind of expensive, and you see a lot of them on the freeway.
I test drove the 1998 Honda Accord Coupe a while ago, and let me tell you, I was thrilled. I am so anxious to go and purchase one. But the problem is that I cannot afford one. It is kind of expensive for me. But it is a good automobile overall. It has...

Pros: Over all nice car Cons: Some blind spots
We just purchased a used 98 Accord LX w/ the v6. This car is overly loaded w/ options including leather seats, cd player and sun roof. It just seems strange that so much would go into a car to make it the more elegant and advanced of its class that it...
