Pros: EVERYTHING! Cons: I want a black one instead. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle to anyone, unless you want to do serious off-roading (Get a Land Rover), or something that has a lot of space, but the CR-V okay
I love Hondas. Everyone I know has had great experiences with them. My cousin has had 3, and the first two both had over 200,000 miles when she bought them. Some people call them, "Jap Crap," but I cannot see why. Sure, they're Japanese, but Japan makes ... read more

Pros: Suspension, motor, interior room and comfort, exterior look, sound system Cons: lack of passenger side arm rest The Bottom Line: I recommend this car due to manufacturer reliability as well as customer reviews.
I recently bought this car (March 2007),in part due to the ratings and reviews on this site. The 1998 Honda CR-V is like driving on a cloud. The suspension is smooth even when purposely driving over bumps. The all time 4 wheel drive is convenient. I ... read more

Pros: Spacious, Roomy, Gas Miser, Great Ride, Turning Radius Cons: Could do with more power, Nothing else really. The Bottom Line: Would certainly recommend it to family and friends. Its not a Maxima but for the price and year- its a steal.
The 1998 Honda CRV was my first venture into the brave new world of SUVs without the gas-guzzling, parking-space hoarding, enviromentalist-annoying V8 tankers.
I bought a used CRV with 50,000 miles for a little over $7000 which was a deal compared ... read more

Pros: comfort, roomy.rides smooth Cons: roof racks should be standard The Bottom Line: I think it's really good. It's not to high off the ground easy to get in and out of. For the price new or used they are affordable.
We recently bought a CR-V and after owning a small compact car this was truely a blessing. It's roomy, the seats are comfortable, and the car rides smoothly. Because it's all wheel drive , it stays on the road in raining weather. The easy access to the ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Very roomy. There is great overhead space. Very comfortable sitting for long drives. Cons: No power. Engine need re-designing. Cheap on gas, but needs more. The Bottom Line: This car is great, if you can overlook the power problems. While this is not really an SUV, it can stand up to underpaid road restoration projects.
When this car was first released, I was intrigued by the look and the design. Already owning a Honda Civic, I was expecting a bullet proof car. I was right.
COMFORT:
The car is extremely comfortable. The overhead room is phenomenal. ... read more

Pros: size, features, value Cons: power? not much else
I bought a 1998 Honda CRV in Feb 2000. It was my first "real" vehicle - I had a junker to learn on, followed by a sweet old Accord Hatchback that lost its life early when a drunk driver plowed into it (parked). I decided to go with something ... read more

I have now put over 45000 worry free miles on my EX CRV. I have had absolutely no problems what so ever. My only real complaint is the lack of power from the engine. However, I still feel at the time of purchase it is the overall best mini-SUV on the ... read more

The first time I saw the Honda CRV at the Chicago Auto Show in 1997, I new this would be my next "car". I had an Infinity G20, which I adored, but new that I wanted my next "car" to be sportier. I am not in the least disappointed in ... read more

Pros: Inexpensive, likable car ... cute on the road. Cons: None really.
Hi, I bought my car new in 1998 and it has been a nice vehicle to drive every day. I like the fact that I am sitting up a little higher than a normal car, but not up so high as one of those "monster trucks" that a lot of the sport utility ... read more

Pros: Dependable, good mileage Cons: Under-powered
I've been driving my girlfriend's CR-V for over a year now (her oldest girl has taken over my Tracker), and I've found it to be the typical soccermom-mobile. Terribly slow and underpowered on take-off, shy on cargo space (compared to other lemmings of ... read more
