Toyota Supra Dressed in Lexus Hardware

by ahussain176

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: loaded in standard trim, style, interior, mechanicals, build quality, value, rarity
Cons: plastic headlamps, CD Changer, 6 cyl lacks low end power, 6 cyl fuel economy
The Bottom Line: BUY THIS CAR!  It may be the best product Toyota ever built.

I have owned 4 Toyota cars over the past 10 years and this is so far the best of them all. Rather than waste time citing specifications and trivia about the SC line (which you can google search) I will present a real world review on how the ...

Luxury + Performance = The Lexus SC400!

by spdster2002
Sep 18 '02 - Updated Sep 25 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: styling, quick acceleration, agile for size, typical Lexus build quality
Cons: typical V8 fuel economy, very little rear-seat room, small trunk
The Bottom Line: The Lexus SC400 is powerful, stylish luxury coupe with excellent build quality, long warranties, and good resale values.

The Lexus SC Coupe was first introduced in June of 1991, Lexus' third offering in the States. The sporty, yet luxurious coupe started with a V8 engine and an automatic transmission. A year later, a 6-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual (optional...

Pros: Name something; this car excels at it.
Cons: "Noisiest and harshest" of the models...by Lexus' own admission

I had test-driven (and dismissed) about half-a-dozen other luxury and near-luxury models, having discovered (as prior Lexus owners are wont do do) that the Lexus driving experience is somewhat addictive. Finally, I had determined that I probably wanted...

Pros: It's all good... wait, I mean excellent.
Cons: Except for the rear seat, no adults back there.
The Bottom Line: Buy this car if you want a well-made, fast sports coupe.

I purchased my '98 SC400 in September of 2004 after reading the two reviews here. Their assessments of the car are excellent, so I won't bother to repeat them here. I found my Black Onyx, fully loaded SC400 at the local Infiniti dealership where they ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The car run remarkably smooth. The V8 is very powerful. 290HP 300torque. Seats supportive.
Cons: Radio must've been good back in the 90's. It sux now.
The Bottom Line: Great Car but hella expensive to repair and maintain. The ride is so awesome, you'll only find it in a lexus.

Just got a 98 Lexus SC400. It had 73K miles on it when I bought it. Everything looked good except a few scratches and dings. No biggie, I could barely see them. I got the car a little below KBB, but I could have still bought a brand new Accord, ...
