Pros: Overall Quality and Value, Nicest Ride of most SUVs Cons: Flimsy cup holder and position
I'll start out telling you that I'm/was a Toyota enthusiast. I had a Celica that I did very little to in the way of an oil change and timing belt replacement. Then I went shopping for a 4Runner and sticker shock set in!
So I trudged across...

Pros: Solidly built, runs smoothly, drives nicely Cons: Leaf springs are weak, front seats too high
The 1998 4x4 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS is my first and only SUV. And although I probably will not buy an SUV again due to gasoline-guzzling issues, if you must get a full-sized SUV, you cannot go wrong with this truck.
Even after this much...

Pros: Great Maintenance Record and decent gas mileage for an SUV. Cons: Mechanical gadgets break easily (door handles, cup holder). The Bottom Line: Buy it for the excellent maintenance record.
What can I say other than that this is one of the best Sport Utility Vehicles for the money you spend. With prices ranging from $22,000 to $30,000, you get a great SUV that handles like a dream both on and off road. This SUV handles like a car rather ...

Pros: OFF road perfection Cons: price
The montero is the best luxury 4x4, in my opinion, on the market today. While others are starting to apear such as the lexus model. The Montero has been around for years but the basics of the SUV have not changed. The newer models have more luxury but...

Pros: smooth ride, beautiful exterior and interior Cons: "wobbly"
I bought my Mitsubishi Montero Sport after I had an accident in my Mitsubishi Eclipse. I LOVE the Mitsubishi brand. I wouldn't drive anything else. I needed something roomy for traveling back and forth to college. It is spacious and comfortable. ...

Pros: smooth, a car to build the attitude Cons: almost none
I have the 1998 model of Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
In the past I owned several other SUVs and I am proud to declare
that none of them have the comfort and road handling of this vehicle.
It is reliable with lots of room inside. It is quick...

Pros: look, feel, reliability, comfort and responsiveness. Cons: it could use some more horsepower.
I absolutely love my Mitsubishi Montero. I purchased my Montero ES Sport as a college graduation present to myself. Prior to owning this vehicle, I was an avid Honda lover and considered purchasing their SUV. Upon test driving their SUV as well as all...

Pros: Utility, off road ability, ride, styling, build quality, its a truck Cons: Not gonna win any races on the road, not for everyone design, its a real truck, expensive
There are so many things you can say about the Montero. How great the suspension is when you have 2000+ lbs in the back, (more then you should ever put back there)how the 4wd system works so well in all conditions, how different it looks from the rest...

Pros: Gas Mileage, Roomy & Sleek looking. Cons: Bumpy Ride at high speeds. The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this to anyone, you will love it!
I just got my 98' Montero Sport. If it wasn't for the low miles on it, I would not have bought it because of it's older year. I have noticed that it's not the smoothest ride, it's very bumpy at high speeds. Other then that, we love it so far, I have...

The montero sport is the best truck for anybody that wants to own an SUV. I have a 1998 MS. My montero is loaded with sound and paint job. I got a glossy red MS with the gold trim. I love the way it shines. The dealer did a great job with the paint. Only...
