Pros: Excellent fuel mileage, mechanically sound, comfy interior, very durable, slick styling
Cons: School bus turning radius, raucous road noise, insistent "check engine" indicator, incinerator of oil
The Bottom Line: The original and best from Saturn.  American made, Japanese conquering, German poise, and still a force after 11 years

I'm coming up on 5 years and 90,000 miles of owning my '98 SL2, and it's as rock solid now as when I bought it.  With such fond memories of my brother's Homecoming Edition SL2 and a shoestring budget, I did some additional homework on the vehicle, ... read more

I admit, I love Saturns. The first car I owned was a 96SL1 twin-cam w/ turbo option which never failed me in 7 years until I spun out in a rainstorm and totaled it. It was complete accident, no one was involved, and I believe that car's safety ... read more
