Pros: Great price, awesome car Cons: peeling pin stripes, shedding carpets
I've been a faithful GM driver since I could drive (and actually could choose my cars! ha ha) and this is my first brand new car... a 1999 Cavalier. The reason why I got it was so I would have something safe to drive my baby around in. It's quite roomy,...

Pros: Good smooth ride Cons: Not a lot of space The Bottom Line: A good cheap car that looks sporty, with a lot of good optional features.
Sorry the body of this review doesnt look very good. I tried fixing it, but each time it would take me back to the previous screen and my review would be deleted. I had to copy and paste it so it wouldnt be completley erased, and this is what happened:...

Pros: Awesome look, excellent gas mileage, nice power. Cons: No ash tray. The Bottom Line: This is an excellent machine with a smooth quite ride and awesome power for it's class. Roomy for a sports car and it looks sharp.
Two days ago my finace, Terry, bought me a 1999 Chevy Cavalier Z24, and I am in love with the car (already loved the man). The odometor reads 36,784 and the engine is clean and this car was extremely well kept. This particular model is the sporty 2 door...

Pros: cute, affordable, it's a chevy, it's gotta be good Cons: small, gas mileage isn't the best, looks sportier than it is The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, get a Z24, just so it performs the way it looks, but it's a good car that, if taken care of, will last many years.
I've had this car for a year now, and though I miss the security of my 1992 Oldsmobile, I'm not any longer embarressed when people see me in my car! Mine is a 2-door, 5 speed red cavalier. Unfortunately, the person that bought it first was more...

Pros: Economical, quick, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced. Cons: None.
I've rented new Chevy Cavaliers several times in the last year, while my Ford Tempo was in for repairs or maintenance. Though my Ford Tempo has been a fine car (can you believe that about a Ford?), the Chevy Cavalier could easily make me...

Pros: Solid and Safe, Reliable and just a bit Sporty Cons: Not a one for the price!
One of my fondest memories of the car business will no doubt be selling my son and his wife their first new car. (I had just joined the staff of the largest Chevrolet dealership in town, and on my second day on the floor, I walked in and there they...

Pros: Affordable, Dependable, Good Gas Mileage, and an All Around Great Car Cons: Small Backseat and not enough Horsepower
I love my Cavalier. I have a 1999 RS and it hasn't given me a day of trouble since I got it. I originally had a 1995 RS which is the car I took my driver's test in and ever since then I've always driven a Cavalier. I see more Cavalier's on the road...

Pros: Inexpensive, Parts are Cheap Cons: Craftsmanship
The Chevrolet Cavalier, an American staple in the automobile industry, continues to maintain its economic pricetag while continuing to raise its bar of performance and dependability.

Pros: Very good price for a car that has everything! Cons: No inside trunk release
I have a 1999 Cavalier Z24 and I absolutely love it. I love the sporty look that it has and the way that it drives. The salesman knew what he was doing when he pulled the Z24 around knowing we really wanted a basic model Cavalier. So off I went to...

Just this past weekend I acquired my 1999 Chevy Cavalier for 10,000 difference and an old beat up '89 Subaru Justy. I being 19 already have a complete stereo system and wasn't really interested in what any vehicle had to offer in that point of view but...

Pros: Good price. Good engine performance with 5-speed and 2.4L. Z24 styling Cons: So-so handling. Questionable build quality. Lousy resale value. The Bottom Line: Until Chevrolet, and GM in general, increases their quality standard, I'd stay away from Cavalier.
This review is based on my two-year experience with a 1999 Cavalier Z24 5-speed.
My wife and I purchased the Z24 Cavalier 5-speed as a second, more practical car, to accompany my 1996 Mazda Miata. We benefitted by a GM employee discount (from...
