Pros: low price, decent gas mileage, plenty of accessories, reasonable parts, folding backseat Cons: low horsepower, annoying seat belts, no tachometer, ugly pinstripes, off-color bumpers The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a pretty decent car for the price and is recommended for everyday travel to work. Not a family car.
This car has been pretty decent so far. (A much better experience than with my 1990 Nissan Maxima.) ...

Pros: Speed, Handling, Gas Consumption, Convertible, Neat features Cons: Annoying warning beep, and sound system
I just got back from a week long summer trip to Fort Lauderdale FL where I had the opportunity to rent a Z24 Cavalier Conv. I was a little upset when the Alamo guy handed me the keys to this car when I had expected to receive a Sebring Conv. But, since...

Pros: cost efficient and economical Cons: discomfort factors
In May of 1999, it as time for me to get a new lease on an economy-class car. I looked and looked for days, finally I found myself at Dan Young Chevrolet. I was actually interested in a used car for lease, but was drawn to the new Cavaliers.
A...

Pros: Easy-folding automatic top, surprisingly good acceleration, great value. Cons: Killer wide-swinging doors, seats could be firmer, no locking glovebox. The Bottom Line: Fun abounds in this affordable convertible. Just put the top down and you'll soon forget its minor design flaws. It's a shame GM discontinued the convertible model.
A 4-seat convertible with power everything for under $15k?
I didn't think it was possible either until I discovered the Cavalier Convertible.
This car is a superb value for both the young and young at heart. Don't worry about...

Pros: A fun car to have, good price Cons: minor fit and finish
When I started looking for an economical replacement for the GM product that I owned, I was favorably impressed by the Chevrolet Cavalier. The model that I fell in love with was the "rag top". Despite some problems, the amount of room in the...

Pros: Peppy, good handling Cons: little small inside The Bottom Line: If you want a reliable car at a good price start here, you will probably end here also.
This car is nothing less than a great compromise. Being a guy who hates large trucks with a passion, I went out looking for a small car to get me around. I got a 1999 Cavalier because it is what I could get financed, and it has turned out to be a...

Pros: Affordable, Reliable, Sexy Cons: None
My husband and I needed new vehicles this year. He commutes an hour in rush hour each way and I drive 95 miles each way to work plus site visits around the state. We need cars that are reliable, but not necessarily racy. I tend to favor imports, but...

Pros: Comfortable and capable. Cons: A little small.
The first thing that struck me about the current Cavalier was how small it looked from the outside. It seemed smaller than the Dodge Neon and Mazda Protege (aka Ford Escort) I'd rented in the past. Even after I had a look inside, it struck me as a...

Well, at first I saw this car as a little compact car that drives like a ball of tinfoil. I was goin for at first a muscle or speed car like a firebird or camaro that was used but the dealer convinced me to sit down in the cavalier. I drove it around and...
