Pros: Reliability 12 years of great service no major issues Great Factory tires Getting 20mpg city Cons: That the greatness of this car won't last forever. The Bottom Line: If you want a mid size quality sports carlike ride this is the one for you.
Everyone gets a lemon every now and then and those that are complaining about this car just probably are paying their Karma price for something else they did bad in life. This car (1996) model has been a great vehicle for 12 years now for me and ...

Pros: Style, performance, dependability. Cons: mischievous headlight, ride quality, handling. The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend this car to anybody who is looking to purchase one.
My experience with the Monte Carlo SS was nothing but pure enjoyment. The engine and drive train was rock solid and I had no issues with them at all. Power was always available with just a push of the throttle and the response was instantaneous. The ...

Pros: Great power on wheels. Very luxury interior! A nice driving experience, like driving on clouds. Cons: Expensive on the gas. Expensive for any motor's reparations. Maybe a little big too long. The Bottom Line: It's a good car, no probleme with it. Maybe a little bit to expensive for the gas and the motor's reparations.
I have a Monte Carlo 1997 for now 1 year. I'm young, i have 18 years old and i can say this car is no only for the older, but for the younger too. The car itself is maybe a little bit too long for small parkings. It very, ultra expensive for things like ...

I bought a 98 Z34 with a 117k miles for $3000 dollars from a local used car dealer. I went there looking at a jeep that had some mechanical problems and walked over to this car. My dad suggested me to test drive and I said why not, I hoped in the driver ...

Pros: fun, roomy car, not bad in terms of power. Cons: many problems, cheap components, build is similar to 15K car. The Bottom Line: save your money, avoid this car.
Dealer support is horrible.
had it's fair share of problems.
Decent, fun to drive car, that is until the problems start. Within the first year I had to replace the brakes, the computer fried, and a bent rear suspension part cause me to get 4 tires all with 15K on the odometer. I went to the dealer who told me ...

Pros: Spacious interior, beautiful looks, big trunk, smooth driving, low maintenance Cons: Rear blind spots, rear seat entry/exit, power (LS), hubcaps/ steel wheels (LS) The Bottom Line: Smooth, sporty car for a good price, definitely pick one up. With the depreciation of value of American cars, you should be able to pick one up cheap.
My parents bought this car as for a daily driver for my mom, right off the showroom floor. After a few years of her driving it back and forth to work, I turned 16 and it was handed down to me. There are numerous things I like about this vehicle, and ...

Pros: The stereo system is very well designed. Cons: To numerous to list. The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this vehicle to my friends.
In 2001, traded my 1999 Monte Carlo LS in for another brand new 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS with the NASCAR package, and I find this model totally inferior to the 1999 model. First problems with the 2002 model were the door glass rails broke. Next ...

I bought my 1995 Monte 8 years ago. We have been very happy with it. I have the leather interior, and I doubt if I'll ever go back to cloth! It isn't the easiest car to get a child's car seat in and out of, but, what 2-door is? It is a stylish, ...

Pros: Good styling/looks, great engine, nice ride, handling, and interior Cons: An expensive beast to repair, somewhat cupholder-deficient The Bottom Line: If you want a nice, sporty car and don't mind paying a lot for a repair now and then, look for one of these babies. You won't be disappointed.
I got my Monte Carlo back in January of '01, as my second car. My first car was/is a '73 Plymouth Duster, and although it treated me pretty well for about 7 years, it was time for a vehicular update. The first thing I noticed about the Monte was the ...

I bought my 95 Z34 Monty used from a friend's connection for only $3000. Before I saw the car I remembered the old Monties as not so much of a family car (my dad had a 70 something monte carlo), but with only 2 kids and of course their mother, I wanted ...

Pros: beautiful, roomy, quick, competent, relatively inexpensive Cons: hard to think of any of significance The Bottom Line: This is a sporty big car that I can get my family, bike, drums, or some combinations thereof into. It does it all with aplomb and looks great doing it.
This past spring we were going to buy my wife a new car. Her '01 Impala was, and still is, in great shape, but we've had it for two years and thought we'd get a new family sedan.
So we went around to the different dealerships and looked at...
