Pros: Optional Infinity 10 speaker Sound system, Smooth ride, Standard amenities. Cons: Dated Powertrain, Poor fuel Economy, Anemic engine, Hefty curb weight. The Bottom Line: Not the best van in the world, but you get some bang for you buck here.
It seems like wherever I go these days I see these Dodge vans by the proverbial "boat load." I see them in parking lots, on the freeway, at the beach, etc, etc, etc. I'm constantly honking my horn at Dodge Caravans, and waving my arms thinking...

Pros: Smooth ride, adequate room, good fuel economy, comfortable seats Cons: second row bucket seats disengage their attachments quite easily - possible problem for inquisitive children The Bottom Line: This is a great little van and I love how it looks and drives and all the extra little features that come with it.
Oh, how I hate car payments, but the time had arrived! We had begun to look around for a new vehicle, thinking we would have about a year before giving our 93 Chevy S10 Blazer to our son. Then it happened! Our sons car did not cooperate, it rolled to a...

Pros: Supermodel looks, gadgets galore, Dodge's famous name and renowned quality (could be a con, however). Cons: Scary and unreliable brakes, irritating locking system, touchy check-engine light, tuna-can construction. The Bottom Line: Real pretty, driveable, and filled with fun gadgets; costly to maintain, numerous problems with "life-or-death" components (brakes, steering, front-end).
Here begins the sad saga of a van bought, a van loved, and a van lost... We got our '99 Grand (sport edition) in June 2004, 95,000 miles and looking sweet. The van had held up well, with very little rust. However, the test drive revealed an ...

We purchased the Dodge Grand Caravan last week because I have been getting a little clausterphobic and hated staying home while daddy had the ONLY vehicle!. My husband has reserved himself to "big blue".. the other car we have, and doesn't even bother...

Pros: ride, handling, driver seat, room for storage, interior and exterior trim hold up well. Cons: Reliability questionable, repairs more expensive than a car, exterior paint job not the best. The Bottom Line: I would be cautious and have the van checked by someone who knows vans when buying used.
I hate wordy reviews. Let's get going. Bought new, dark purple, FWD, 3.3 liter engine, cloth seats, 4 seats and one bench (option), compass, fuel economy indicator (options) and enhanced ventilation system. Most everything else standard. Here is my ...

Pros: Roomy, nice ride, great options for the price tag. Cons: Smaller than some minivans, fewer color and interior choices.
I went into the car-buying arena thinking I wanted an SUV. The Dodge Caravan changed my mind!
I test drove a bunch of SUVs and they were fine to drive, but I found them pricey, and quite frankly there is NOT much room in them. I took a...

Pros: Nothing better to drive for the money Cons: Tight parking spaces are a pain, but considering everything else.....park elsewhere and walk!
First of all I would like to tell you that I was one of those people who said they would never under any circumstance own a minivan. I hated those jellybean conveyances that seemed to dominate the highway. They represented a level of suburbia I never had...

Pros: good in snow, good size Cons: bad mileage, minor problems in first year, transmission problems The Bottom Line: I've been fairly happy with the car, but now that I've had it 4 years it wants to visit home (the dealer) more often.
This is the first American car I've owned since 1982. The main selling point was that Dodge made an ...

Pros: Good gas mileage, comfortable ride, lots of head and leg room Cons: Can't find anything major to complain about!
I bought the 1999 Dodge Caravan new during the summer of 1999, and our experience with this van has been very positive for the most part. It has stood up for the last year under the onslaught of our two kids, aged 13
and 4.
We opted for...

When we finally decided it was better to have a van that actually spent the majority of its time on the road rather than in for service, we began looking to trade in our 1995 Ford Windstar. As the mom of 5 kids, 7 and under, a van was not simply a nice...
