I have deleted my previous review on my 1999 Dodge Durango and rewritten it.
I bought a Dodge Durango in the summer of 1999. I was looking at Explorers, Blazers, and Durangos. I chose the Durango because of the third seat, I have 2 kids and...

Pros: POWER. Attitude. Functionality. Acceptable (realistic) Cabin Space. Handling. Towing Capability. Comfort. Decent Quality. Cons: Still waiting for Cons w/ 150,000 miles on the odometer. The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck to those who know what it takes to own a SUV. Better looking than the newer version. Awesome truck!
My 1999 Durango has 150,000 miles on it. It's equipped with a great-looking gunmetal grey leather interior, the body is painted in pewter with deep metal flake finish. Interior and exterior are holding up excellently. This is a beautiful truck. The ...

Pros: Powerful, versatile, comfortable, and tough. Plenty of room for a family with toddlers. Cons: Difficult to get in 3rd seat with child seat in the middle. Minivan its not. The Bottom Line: It's a great compromise for both on and off road. Think of it as a "Dual Sport" of SUVs.
I bought my Durango new and currently have over 47,000 miles on it. So, I guess you can consider this opinion a result of a long-term test.
My Durango is the SLT+ with 5.9L V8 and 99% of all the options available during this model year.

Pros: LOOKS! size, power, handling, comfort, options. Cons: fuel mileage, but hey, it is a truck with lots of power!
After owning a LOT of GM cars, and trucks, the styling of the Durango lured me into a Dodge Dealership. I have owned 8 Oldsmobiles, 1 Chevy, and one Pontiac. I was STRICTLY a GM man. I liked the Bravada a lot, LOVED the Suburban, but the Durango is...

Pros: Styling, power, maneuverability, comfort Cons: Fuel consumption The Bottom Line: I love mine. And as you can see, most other people love theirs too!
I've read many of the "non-recomendations" and I'm puzzled!
I bought (leased) mine in July of 1999 and to this day have not had a single problem. The ride is stable and quiet. The fuel economy with any V8 is going to be high, so that's my only...

Pros: Looks Great Cons: ENGINE FAILURE - Chrysler Does Not Stand Behind the Product The Bottom Line: Don't buy ANY product from a company that will not stand behind it!
I purchased my 1999 Durango from Sterling Heights Dodge on October 30, 1999, maintained it, and had no difficulties with it before December 2000.
On December 15, 2000 with only 53897 miles on the odometer, the oil pressure dropped to zero...
