Pros: Straight-line acceleration, price, smooth engine Cons: Mushy suspension, near-gripless tires, Transmission failed at 45,000 miles The Bottom Line: Stay away from this product. Honda will not help me with my failed transmission - You have been warned! This is not what an Accord used to be.
Besides the near-gripless "low rolling resistance" Michelin MXV4+ tires and a CD player that started skipping right after the warranty ran out, my transmission failed at 45,000 miles due to an internally caused failure after better than recommended...

Pros: None - My Accord has been terribly unreliable, uncomfortable and expensive to keep. Cons: This car has the durability of a potato chip. The Bottom Line: I don't know why Honda has a reputation for reliability. My domestic cars have been much better.
Well, my experience is somewhat different than everyone else's. I bought the car in 2003 with 35,000 miles on it. As of this writing, it has 59,300. I bought it from the local Honda dealer and have had everything serviced at Honda. Over the past two ...

Pros: Honda is Living Off a Good Reputation Cons: Clutch Assembly, Brake Pads that last 15 - 20,000 Miles
If you have read my epinion, "SMELLS LIKE BRIDGESTONE FIRESTONE", my latest adventure with my wife's 1999 Honda Accord happened yesterday, Tuesday, December 5, 2000. My wife drove home on Monday, December 4, 2000, and said, "Honey, the...

Pros: Nice looking car. Cons: Junk tranny, doesn't live up to Honda's rep., BO-RING, lacks HP. The Bottom Line: Avoid it like smallpox, too many problems!!! If you want a Honda, buy a Civic, 5-speed.
Just traded this car in on a new truck and I couldn't be happier. Tranny blew @ 79k miles average driving. Although Honda did eat a portion of the bill($6000-no joke), no reason to have to put a transmission in a HONDA of all things with under 100k....

Pros: None Cons: Smells Like Bridgestone/Firestone Lies
What happened to the quality of the Japanese automobiles and the honor of the Japanese workers? If you have not recently returned from Mars, you should be disgusted at seeing the arrogant Japanese President of Bridgestone/Firestone Tires in the media...

Pros: A good paperweight Cons: Slow, ugly, overall bad
Man, i really hate this car. It is the slowest ugliest hunk of cr*p (seems that epinion thinks this is a bad word) i've ever drove and i've driven some pretty bad cars. Personnally i'd rather pimp it in the good ole' driver's ed. car. I mean come on...

Pros: Nice design, Big trunk, and good gas mileage Cons: Cheaply made, Poor paint job and poor plastics assembly
We leased our 1999 DX last May. I have wanted an Accord since high-school. I had always heard that they were very dependable cars. You always see a ton of older Accords on the road, That is a good sign to me.
I loved the new design, With it's...

Pros: large back seat and trunk Cons: short people are uncomfortable
I checked into purchasing the Honda Accord because everyone said it was a great car and that the repairs were minimal. I also needed a car with a large trunk and could fit 3 large teenage boys. Well the honda has a large trunk and the backseat is...

Pros: Cheap to maintain, lots of space. Cons: Poor braking and handling.
With nagging parents and an undeniably good deal from the Honda dealer, I finally sucked it in and landed myself in a 99 Accord EX Sedan. The Accord has been known to be a hassle-free choice... great re-sale value, and as generic as you can get in a...

Pros: Excellent exterior style Cons: Poor quality
I bought the Accord last year at 99, there were so many choices for me to choose at that time. I thought Honda is a good quality, reliable vehicle because of the previous/currently owned.
It was pretty good in the first 6 months, but afterward, it...

Pros: decent mileage, looks, price Cons: never comfortable and feels inexpensive
We bought this vehicle because we had heard of Accord's reliability and we think the Accord is attractive and affordable. BUT, we previously owned a LEXUS Coupe, and let me tell you, there is no comparison.
The Accord, I am sorry to say is...

Pros: more spacious vehicle, larger and more powerful engine Cons: quality of interior, loss of sporty ride
I owned the previous model Accord, with 2.2L engine (this model did not come in Australia with the 3.0 L engine it now has.) and enjoyed the excellent build quality of the vehicle, as well as it's sporty handling. I recently purchased a new accord V6...

Pros: attractive car, Honda has a reliable reputation Cons: infamously bad transmissions in this generation Accord, tilt steering mechanism afwul, controls not intuitive The Bottom Line: Check out a Jetta, Passat, or Camry before buying an Accord of this generation!
This review shouldn't be about an Accord at all. If you look at my username, it says Aleroluver. I have wanted an Oldsmobile Alero for their entire existence. I am in love with everything about the way those cars look and feel. However, Aleros are ...

Pros: Styling. Sporty power. Overall cost. Well thought out interior. Cons: Torque could be better at low revs. Corner handling doesn't match car's power. Poor trunk access from rear seat.
I bought the Accord Coupe because I wanted a car that had a good overall cost of ownership/maintenance and resale value, but was still sporty and fun to drive. The Accord EX V6 is definitely that.
The drive is smooth when you're cruising but...
