Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Excellent quality and ergonomics
Cons: Wind noise and rear liftgate
The Bottom Line: Not the top rated Luxury SUV for no reason. It's an excellent vehicle and good alternative to a minivan, but definitely not a replacement.

I've had this car for four months now and I have only high remarks for this vehicle. I bought it from a friend whose lease was expiring, so the price was right. It had 43000 miles on it. The model I have is the AWD version, with leather ... read more

Pros: Absolutely beautiful vehicle. I love that it's on a car chassis. SO easy to park!
Cons: seat heater is either driver or driver/passenger, can't be just passenger.
The Bottom Line: The room of a large SUV, the ride of a car and the prestige of a Lexus.

Lexus is a wonderful car company! I have never had any problems with my vehicle, nor do I anticipate any. Roomy interior, sleek exterior, not too large, easy to handle and excellent in snowy and icy conditions. I could not ask for anything more! I love ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Excellent Reliability
Cons: See article for details
The Bottom Line: Although I named many problems, this car hits very high on reliability. That is the main reason I bought it.

When I went to look for a new car, I had a couple of cars in mind, but I eventually settled down to an Infiniti QX4, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes ML320 and the Lexus RX300. I immediately scratched the Jeep, after looking into reliability, and talking to ... read more

Mar 29, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Lexus quality, safety, quiet, luxurious, car-like ride
Cons: Eggmobile looks, not much bigger than a car, pricey, jacked-up Camry for $10k more
The Bottom Line: This vehicle is great at what it does, but do you really need an SUV if you're buying one this size? There are also more affordable choices out there.

When my father, who already owned a Lexus GS 300, announced that he had purchased a Lexus RX 300, I was a bit surprised. He'd always driven a Chevy pickup and the RX 300 certainly was a step in a different direction for him. He wanted ... read more
