Why would you want a truck this big? I found out.

by mickeyk9

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Size does matter (sometimes), comfy on long drives, is fun to drive
Cons: Once a ford, always a ford - service is horrible, cost
The Bottom Line: Are there better SUV's out there? Most likely, but this fits the bill nicely for some. If service were better, I'd recommend it, but for now, I wouldn't buy another.

First off, I have a 1999 Lincoln Navigator with 70 thousand miles on it. 55 thousand of those miles are my miles as it was bought used (I am one of those kinds who firmly believes in buying used). I am also single, mid 20’s and live downtown in Ba ...

Cons: I have to say gas mileage. But, having said that, one doesn't normally buy a Lincoln if they're looking for a vehicle with great gas mileage. Overall vehicle size takes some getting used to, but not a ral problem if you maintain your sense of it.

Strengths: Extremely comfortable, quiet, and secure ride. Excellent creature comfort features, ie: air conditioning, stereo, seat positioning, passenger room, power amenties (windows, door locks, moonroof, rear vent windows, etc.) Commanding view...

Pros: It handles like a car, very roomy, comfortable.
Cons: none

This is my favorite car in the world! I mean this SUV has absolutely everything! It has 8 cup-holders, about 10 speakers, and for those people who don't like SUV's because of the difficulty to get aboard, due to it's height, the Navigator even has a...

Bold and beautiful and a Ford drama queen

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Space, styling, snow traction, towing, reasonable repair costs
Cons: Reliability, construction, tires, handling
The Bottom Line: Overall this is a car with an OK motor, good looks, legitimate truck capabilities and the limits of mass-market Made in USA build quality being attempted on more complex construction.

I ordered my 1999 Navigator to replace my 1997 Expedition which I was really impressed with. What I ...

This car has to be one of the Best cars I have ever driven. I have one, it is laser red and drives like it is floating. The standard 4 door all wheel drive, is a great package, you can buy this package for somewhere around $35,000 - $40,000. There is...

I purchased a pre owned '99 Navigator (1,700 miles) as a replacement for my aging '93 Suburban. I really did not like the styling all that much. I test drove the Lincoln, bought it, and I have never regretted this decision.

Pros: You can fit a lot of people into them with out having the mini van look.
Cons: Large car

The Lincoln Navigator drives as closely to a luxury sedan as possible without being one. They are such great cars that we actually have two of them. We have had them for about a year now, and we have had no trouble what so ever. They are very durable...
