by
Feb 5, 2012 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: handles well, comfy, convertible, good on gas
Cons: the trunk is pretty useless
The Bottom Line: Theres no car out there that gives you a experience like the miata can. Buying this car will leave you completely satisfied.

This was my first car that I saved up for with my own money and purchased at the age of 17. This car handles extremely well and takes the beatings I give it easily. I use this car to autocross and drift occasionally over at my local racetrack. The only ... read more

The Bottom Line: Absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great used car that is not the same boring box.

My son turned 16 18 months ago so a third car became a neccestity.  With money to spend towards a third vehicle I purchased a 1999 Miata with a little over 100k on it for a bit over $4000.  I had been looking at other cars like Corollas, ... read more

May 14, 2008 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fun factor! Handling is exceptional! Beautiful color & design inside and out!
Cons: Rainy days spoil the fun, but only a little bit.
The Bottom Line: Great car if you are looking for a high FUNFACTOR and good gas economy. Not a family car as this is a roadster and only seats 2!

I bought this car used in April 2007 with 60k miles. My very first Miata. What caught my eye was the beautiful sapphire blue mica color, and of course the fact that it was a convertible roadster! It is a beautiful car - everywhere I go people stop and ... read more

Pros: Handling, great reliability, large trunk for a small car.
Cons: Car fogs up easily, stupid place for a cupholder, no variable delay setting on wipers.
The Bottom Line: If you want a newer sports car, buy one!

Selling my Toyota MR2 to my son, as the MR2 is just a tad big for me. Bought a '99 Miata for 8K in Ohio, and drove it to Virginia Beach. The beautiful handling put a smile on my face that has not faded yet. My 68K mile car came with an extremely ... read more

Amazing... first time I drove my own Miata, I started to comprehend what my husband always says a "one-with-the-car-experience" with a Miata!! My husband bought a 2004 Mazda Speed 6-speed manual transmission (his 2nd) with the hopes that I could start ... read more

A dream com true!

Apr 29, 2004 (Not Yet Rated)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handles like a roller coaster, just the right amount of power, and the fun, priceless!
Cons: Ride is what's expected for sports car, more but not enough trunk space.
The Bottom Line: If you want a 2 seater, you can't beat the bang for the buck in a Miata. I wouldn't trade it for any other car. Well maybe a super car...

Sexy new lines make the miata a better attention grabber. You are sure to get looks from driving this car. Now that mazda has gotten away from the outdated flip up head lights, the car has a more masculine look. When driving my older model miata with the ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Looks, Short Gear Shift, Pure, Good Acceleration, Excellent Cornering, Cheap
Cons: Too Small for Some? Not Fast enough for Some?
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone and everyone. It is as pure of a roadster as you can find in the USA

This is absolutely the benchmark roadster. Many magazines have reviewed it and agreed. It is CAR (A British Magazine) magazine's top roadster this year, that was the Mk3, but besides a few minor changes it is the same car. A little history. The ... read more

The Bottom Line: Expands the driving experience. Cheap to own and keep, very enjoyable transportation.

We've used this car to commute daily year round for over three years. One of the best built cars I've owned, and of course handles well. Other than oil changes, zero cost to maintain so far. With snow tires on all four it handles fine in winter in all ... read more

Pros: True Fun! Handles great, shifts great, low maintenance
Cons: Visibility with the top up.
The Bottom Line: Can't have more fun in a new car for less than $20K.

I love my Miata. I got it in July 0f 1999. It is great fun to drive. I used it as a daily driver for more than a year. It is not a perfect car, it is small, there is little room in the trunk, the interior is spartan. BUT IT IS A SPORTS CAR. ... read more

JACK BE NIMBLE, JACK BE QUICK

by
Feb 13, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: handling, fun-factor, attention getter, size, good on gas
Cons: size, no back seat (well it is a roadster), small cargo capacity
The Bottom Line: This car could be renamed 'FUN'. It's not that practical, with a small trunk and 2-seats, but it makes up for all of that with fun factor.

I was seriously considering purchasing a new Mazda Miata last year but did not for a few reasons, mostly because the car was not practical enough to suit my lifestyle. This review is based on my experiences during my test drive, but I have always been ... read more
