Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Goes anywhere, Tough frame, Roomy, Handles well
Cons: Gas mileage 18 or so, wimpy springs
The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck for good everyday use.

I bought this truck used from a young punk that abused it. However I have had several Datsun products through the years and they proved to be all but bullet proof. I put a new timing belt, clutch, and support bearing in it. I drive almost 80 miles a day, ... read more

I bought my 1999 Nissan Frontier 6cyl Extended Cab XE new in 1999. This truck has hauled my riding lawnmower, boat, push mower, a motorcycle, and lots of other miscellaneous stuff that I can't even list. This truck rides smooth, despite the ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Drives like a car, very dependable, great off road capabilities.
Cons: Head room, leg room, back seats are a joke.
The Bottom Line: Except for the head room, I would not consider a new truck for next 9 years! The truck goes every where with ease and minimal cost. Great Truck.

I bought my Nissan with 11,400 miles on, the first owner traded it in for the new quad-cab. The truck now has 35,000 miles, many long trips, not one problem besides minor maintenance. The 30,000 mile tune up was expensive due to the four wheel drive, I ... read more

Pros: quiet, smooth, car-like ride, Sturdy feel, nice new look
Cons: 4 cyl. no rear speakers, low ground clearence, small tires

And I swore I would never buy another Nissan. After driving an '89 240sx forever, the head gasket finally blew for the last time! Although fun to drive, spending another $1000 on a rust invested high milage car, made me want to puke. So in search of a ... read more

Pros: Engine holds up, great visibility, excellent off road capabilities

Pros: Ride,style

I have owned a number of trucks over the years. They covered the spectrum of Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Dodge Ram. All were 4x4's and most were 3/4 ton. When I decided to get a compact truck for commuting to work, I was looking for better gas mileage ... read more
