Pros: Excellent power, comfortable yet durable leather seating, reliable Cons: Handling wasn't quite as good as I was expecting. The Bottom Line: Great power matched with great reliability in a daily-drivable package. What more could you want in this price range?
When I bought my '99 Grand Prix GTP almost six years ago, I had no idea it would be as easy on my wallet as it has been. I had been counting on performance, gadgets, and reasonable comfort... but the reliability was a complete and pleasant surprise. ... read more

Pros: Great motor, great acceleration, comfortable ride Cons: Very unreliable. Things wearing out that shouldn't be wearing out after only 130-140,000 km. The Bottom Line: I love most aspects of the car. I'm very upset at GM Canada, and the way they treated a lifetime customer.
This is being written by someone who since his first vehicle in 1985 has sworn by GM products all the way. In my mind, they were the best vehicles on the road

Pros: Nice looks, drives good Cons: Not the best in it's class for the money. The Bottom Line: Nice car, but their are better for the same price from our Jap Friends :)
Here I offer another honest opinion. I see other People reviewing this car, and it is obvious they haven't drove anything nice in their life, like a Nissan Maxima or Toyota Camry, but hey nobody is perfect. I use to have a 1999 Grand Prix GT, 4 door ... read more

Pros: Good power. Reliable. Inexpensive to buy. Styling. Cons: Interior cheapness. The Bottom Line: Good car, buy one - they are pretty cheap as used cars.
Back in 1999, my Mustang GT 5.0 was just not practical given that we had a 3 year old daughter and a newborn son. I couldn't see myself in any old family car, but really liked the looks of the Grand Prix and thought this would be a good compromise ... read more

Pros: Acceleration, 3800 V6, beautiful styling, Bose audio, automatic climate control, head-up display, fun to drive Cons: Interior build quality, old style GM turn signal stalk, sports suspension (rough roads) The Bottom Line: Fun, dependable alternative to ultra boring Toyota, Nissan, and Honda models. Don't knock it until you've driven it. Lots of value for the money makes the Grand Prix a winner.
The Pontiac Grand Prix GT is sure to please. The exterior styling is among the most attractive of any car in its class. Something about this car puts a smile on my face whenever I see it. With the normally aspirated 200 horsepower version of GM's low ... read more

Pros: Handles great! Powerful and comfortable. Cons: None! The Bottom Line: Love this car would recommend hands down to anyone.
What else can you say, it's a Grand Prix GT! The car handles like a dream. It has power to spare. Comfortable enough we take it on road trips as much as we take my Supercrew. Lots of room. Only a two door, but not difficult to get in and out of at all. ... read more

Pros: Great powerful V6, great looks, Cons: SE (base model) is totally stripped-no alloys or spoiler The Bottom Line: Bottom line is that if you want a sport sedan without paying the huge price that most people charge, then go for the SE and load it with acssesories.
The 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, yes I know, not GT or GTP, the boring model so everybody says, is a very sporty car, without the huge price. I got this car for free, being a company car. And of course, if I wanted a GT or GTP, or any options, I ... read more

Pros: Sexy styling, head snapping torque, options for the money. Cons: Low quality leather on seats, occasional rattles, poor reception from integrated rear window antenna. The Bottom Line: You get a lot of car for relatively little money.
I needed a new car, wanted something sporty, and didn't want to pay $30,000+ for it. I'm a single guy and wanted a coupe...sedans are for families. Not a lot of choices to meet that criteria, or at least not anything that doesn't look like every other ... read more

Pros: stylish looks, comfortable seats, head up display, reliability Cons: what cons? I haven't found one yet. The Bottom Line: Bottom Line: If you're looking for a sporty car without a huge price tag or extremely high insurance rates, buy a grand prix. You won't be disappointed
I bought this car in '99 and love everything about it. The sporty 2dr grand prix is everything I've ever wanted in a car. With the 16" chrome wheels and a spoiler, it looks fierce. The appeal of this car is not just it's outer looks though. Once you ... read more
