Pros: Unique quirky car that is a blast to own and drive! Cons: Certain parts will break no matter what. If that bothers you, you're not Saab worthy! The Bottom Line: If you're okay with standing out from the crowd you will absolutely love this car. I think I will always think of this as my favorite car.
As I am now selling my 1999 Saab 9-5 and seeing as how it is the end of the line for the small, quirky car company I feel the need to share some thoughts on this misunderstood automobile...... EXTERIOR This first GM/Saab model is still a Saab at ...

Pros: gas mileage, handling, reliability, quality, comfort, fun to drive Cons: annoying shift-up light; they depreciate fast, so buy used The Bottom Line: This car is a great all-around car and a great alternative to other luxury brands. Just make sure you're getting a good one.
If you are looking for a luxury sedan, you have a lot of options to choose from, and Saab is one of the least common. I can imagine why. BMWs are faster, Lexus is more reliable, Mercedes is more luxurious and Infiniti is more affordable. That's why those ...

Pros: Zippy Turbo 4, comfortable, solid Cons: phew - not much of anything
Overview:
’99 Saab 9-5, silver SE with black leather interior, power windows, seats, CD Player, cassette, ventilation fans in front seats -- really! We seriously looked at BMW’s but found the 3 series too small, the 5 series to expensive and too...

Pros: Looks good, drives great, great features! Cons: Cost
Honesty Disclaimer: I do not own this vehicle, I simply drove one for a couple of days about a year ago, so bear that in mind up front!
When I was stationed over in Germany I had the pleasure of seeing, learning, and experiencing a lot...

Pros: space, luxurious interior, gas mileage Cons: sound system
SAAB has its share of fans and foes, but this car really has won me over. I recently purchased a saab 9-5 SE, and it is very impressive. I am a huge saab fan, all the way back to the old saab 900's, and one of my favorite cars that I own is a 93' saab...

Pros: sporty handling/appearance, great cargo area, nice amenities Cons: no four-wheel drive
When I was looking to buy a sedan, I strongly considered the Saab 9-5; I loved its sporty handling and apperance, as well as it luxurious feel and impeccable safety record. However, I was able to get a fully equipped Platinum edition of the...

Pros: Handles great, espec. for a wagon Cons: Can't think of any
With a new baby, my Honda Prelude didn't cut it anymore (couldn't even fit the car seat). No wagon handles like a little sports car, but this car is really a pleasure to drive.
Once you remember where the key goes (like all Saabs, it's down next to...

Pros: drives great Cons: bugs, bugs, stalling, more bugs
We just returned out 9-5 under the lemon law. I leased it when it just arrived and got a good deal on a demo with 2200 miles. I should have suspected that this car would have problem when my left side view mirror had a chip when I initially picked it...

Pros: Value, Snob Appeal, Overall Sturdiness and Performance Cons: Slight Roll
Saab 9-5 2.3L Stick
I must confess, one of the main reasons I ended up buying the Saab over a 328 was because the dealer cut me an insane deal on the 99's going out. While it is *not* as sporty as I would want it to be, I would still call it a great...

Pros: Comfort, acceleration, saftey Cons: Cramped Back Seat for tall people.
The Saab 9-5 is one of the best cars to come off the line in Trollhottan since the classic 900. This car has a whole lot of GM influence without leaving the Saab tradition. The interior still has the classic cockpit feel. I would recommend the 4...

Pros: conserves gas, good handling, good acceleration Cons: none
When first looking for a new car, the first place that I went to was the Saab dealership. I immediately was taken by the 9-5, by it's luxurious leather interior, to it's incredible handling around tight corners. Reasonably priced, I immediately bought...

The Saab 95 is a very fun car to drive. The numerous special features such as 6-CD changer, seat warmers, dual climate control, the radio controls on the steering wheel, and hydrolic cup holder make the Saab a very fun car to drive. It is very cool...

Pros: When it runs, it's a nice car Cons: Fuel injection problems; 3 replacement tires; clock display fails; battery died w/in first 12 months
After searching for a new car in January 1999, my wife and I decided to buy a 1999 Saab 9-5, which has proven to be a terrible decision. We feel like we have purchased a lemon. During the past year, we have had the following problems:
1)...

Pros: Spirited, comfortable, and economical. Cons: Sound system needs better low-end and not suited for more than four.
After exhaustive research, I narrowed my choice down to the Chrysler 300M, the Volvo S70, and the Saab 9-5 SE. Obviously based on this review, I chose the Saab 9-5. The more I drive this car, the more reassured I am that I made the correct choice. ...
