Aug 27, 2000 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: Comfortable inside and roomy enough
Cons: Too many early "glitches" in quality

On-going problems with alignment in my '99 Sienna 5-door CE cause me to give a guarded recommendation on the Sienna. In an 18-month period, we had continued pulling to the right with final tire replacement. This did not correct the problem, however. ... read more

Dec 22, 2002 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth ride and engine, comfortable seats
Cons: Handling and steering, seat comfort, interior room, radio controls
The Bottom Line: Overall, the Sienna is a well-riding minivan for smaller families. If you can put up with minimal legroom and luggage space, consider the Sienna.

Buying the car Toyota Siennas come in a wide variety of ways. The base model is the CE, which runs in the low 20's and isn't equipped very well. The mid-range LE trim is the most popular. It is has more goodies than a CE does, but it runs ... read more

Pros: Reliable,Good ride, 5-doors with power side door
Cons: Cheap dashboard plastic, Poor sound on the radio, Major oil leak from engine.
The Bottom Line: I have serious reservations about Siennas, because of the oil leak problem discussed in my update.

***UPDATE** The review below was written a few years ago. Now that my Sienna has 44-thousand miles on it, trouble is creeping up. I have an oil leak that goes all over my garage floor. A repair shop tech tells me, the fix is expensive. New seals ... read more

Jul 27, 2000 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: comfortable, dependable
Cons: could use a bit more storage space

We bought our '99 Sienna LE in January of '99 (last day of the month, during a light snow storm - worked well for our haggling!) I was always the type of person who thought minivans were ugly and frumpy. My opinion changed once I started ... read more

Pros: Fine driving, comfort, and luxury features
Cons: Small trunk, somewhat high price

Toyota trucks and cars have some of the best reputations on the markets today. Reliability, pricing, and how long they can last are among the deciding factors in the minds of those Americans that buy Camry's, Corrolla's and Tacoma's everyday. The ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The Sienna is very safe and reliable
Cons: Costs too much

My family bought a Previa in 1991 and a Sienna last year. By far, the Sienna is the better of the two, although I miss the oddly shaped, but practical dash on the older model. Here are some more comprehensive details about the newer Toyota Sienna: ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Typical Toyota reliability
Cons: Difficult rear seat accessability

My Toyota Sienna is slightly over one year old, and I am completely satisfied with it. The feature of a left side rear door is an improvement over previous minivan models. As is probably the case with all minivans, it is difficult for some people to ... read more
