Pros: Fit and finish, quality of materials, headlights, Audio system, controls and convenience features. Cons: Reliability, reliability, reliability. The Bottom Line: Bottom line is that this is a beautiful vehicle with many well thought out amenities however overall, it's reliability is terrible. These cars can quickly become a money pit.
I owned this car for 5 years and over that time, averaged about $1000 in repairs every 6 months. I bought it with 72,000 miles from a very reputable Audi dealer who had maintenance records going back to day one of it's life. It had been maintained ... read more

Pros: Great styling, sporty, solid, great Bose stereo Cons: No extended powertrain warranty, unreliable, small back seat The Bottom Line: Cute and sporty, but don't expect this car to last forever. Lease it until the warranty expires, then give it back!
When I purchased this car back in April 2000, it was an expensive gift to myself. I had wanted an A4 ever since they came out in '96. Overall, I have been very pleased with my purchase...until two weeks ago. Having paid off this car over a year ago, ... read more

Pros: Fun, sporty, practical for the outdoors enthusiast Cons: headlights repeatedly burn out, constant little problems, terrible service, poor windsheild wipers The Bottom Line: Mixed - As much as I enjoy driving it, I've had a lot of problems.
This car was exactly what I wanted - practical for those sports outings, decent mileage, and fun to drive. The performance is great and it feels like a quality vehicle. The handling is top-notch and the quattro had gotten me out of more than one jam (as ... read more

This car is great! It is so fun to drive and my radio is fantastic (I am in sales, and count on a great radio for a pick-me-up). That upgrade was very worth it! The interior is great, and I love the red dash! The turning ratio is great, and I find I am ... read more

Pros: Great style and quality for very reasonable price. Cons: Performance doesn't live up to its look. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car based on style and overall quality. The performance could be improved though. I would opt for the sports package and the bigger engine.
Let me first start out by saying that I have a 2000 Audi A4 sedan 1.8t with basically no options. I know these review categories don't distinguish between different models of the same car, so it's important we're on the same wavelength here.

Pros: Great looks, awesome interior, performance, brakes, safety, handling, comfort, Quattro Cons: A small car in the truest sense, lousy cup holders, sensitive motion detectors The Bottom Line: It's a playful, glued-to-the-road, drive-me-I'm-German sporty car with excellent craftsmanship and safety features. A best buy for the money.

Pros: Modern, "techy" interior, not too common on the road, AMAZING warranty Cons: Electronics problems, hard-to-get parts, long waiting periods The Bottom Line: Good- Head-turning car. This was the first new car I had ever owned. Prior to the Audi A4, I had a 1994 Toyota Camry, 4 cylinder. Needless to say, I was not accustomed to major horsepower and I wasn't really looking for major horses under the hood. Thank god I didn't ... read more

Pros: Conservative, yet appealing looks, very smooth ride, great traction, nice 5spd manual tranny, comfortable seats Cons: Interior a little claustrophobic, could use more power, could use a better automatic transmission The Bottom Line: This would be a 5-star car if only the engine had more power. Beyond that, this is a well-priced, well-built, practical, comfortable wanna-be sports car.
The Audi A4 is not the most impressive car to look at, and it generally does a great job of blending in with traffic, and ususally doesn't attract attention to itself, that's somewhat unfortunate considering the fact that this is a well-priced automobile ... read more
