Pros: excellent handling, good looks, amazing performance, practical, smooth ride, not too expensive to run/maintain. Cons: 'bit heavy on petrol, engine out for some engine repairs, not veryroomy for rear passengers. The Bottom Line: would definetly reccommend buying one, as mine gives me great pleasure when driving. Its comfortable, fast and reliable, although a little mechanical knowledge is an advantage to keep car tiptop.
I own an X reg audi s4 avant quattro, and i must say, it is soooo enjoyable to drive!!! The reliability is fantastic, and parts are reasonably priced. The previous owner had the car tuned with a custom re-map and a milltek ...

Pros: Brilliant high-speed road manners, primo ergonomics, great 'Q-ship' factor. Cons: Small humans only, in the back seat, s'il vous plait! The Bottom Line: I was ready for a step up from the decidedly sweet 9000 Aero. The S4 is that next step.
I'm a current '96 9000 Aero owner who's dearly loved his swedish luxury rocket. But, as of yesterday ...

Pros: Enduring good looks, reeks of quality, Quattro AWD, suberb performer, solid construction. Cons: There is nothing comparable to the Autobahn in the United States... The Bottom Line: If your car does not have four chromed rings on the front, you are missing out.
After owning a 2001 Audi A4 for a few months I decided to step up to an S4. When owning the A4, I thought nothing in its price range could even come close. I was right! The A4 was outclassed by a high powered clone of itself, though. For a small premium...

Pros: Fun, Deceivingly Fast, Understated Looks,Practical Sports Car Cons: Understated Looks, Small Back Seat, Gas Mileage The Bottom Line: If you want a sports car that is fun, has power, luxury, safety, and some practicality at a bargain price the Audi S4 is your only choice!
When I was looking to replace my car I had driven all through college and my early days in the job force, I naturally gravitated toward the BMW's and Lexus' of the world. Then one day I happened upon an article in a magazine about this Audi that had...

Pros: very homogenous, superb overall performance Cons: addictive
Bought my biturbo S4 wagon in August 99 and loved every single km spent in it since.
First of all, Audi quality is top notch, probably the best among european brands. Material choice, finish, assembly, feel are all above the pickiest...

Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: Backseats are too small
I bought the Audi S4 after a month or so of extensive research (mostly on the internet), and test driving the primary competitors (A4 2.8, BMW 328, Acura TL, CL 3.2). Having had the car now for about a month, 2000 miles and two fairly long (500 mile)...

My Audi S4:
I have to admit that I waited for this car much too long, and in the end, the hard choice was picking a color. The little swatches on the brochure really don't do a good job of how elegant and sophisticated this car looks in any...

Pros: GRIP, SPEED, SOLIDITY, TASTEFULNESS Cons: PERHAPS TOO UNDERSTATED
This car has a staggering degree of grip. I found a parkway outside of Los Angeles and I started doing laps around the breaks in the medians. The length was about two city blocks and the surface was uneven pavement. With each lap I increased the speed...

This is the Audi S4. It has a 2.7L turbo-charged V6 with 250 horsepower and 258 torque. As you can tell, this is a seriously fast car. Not only is it fast, but it is sporty looking. It comes with 17in. alloy wheels and sport suspension. 5-Speed...

Pros: Fast, Good Looking, Luxurious. Cons: Back seat is kind of small.
One of my friends got this car and I was in shock. Before this I never knew of this car, but I am glad I do. This is an amazing car that moves and is still very luxorious. The 250hp bi-turbo v-6 in the very small car allows the car to accelerate from 0...

Pros: Perfect all-round sports sedan. Cons: Watch oil consumption, experiment with traction control
On the up side:
The Audi 2000 S4 is a tremendous value. The most notable thing about the car is the torque curve, which is a broad, flat maximum all the way from 2000 to 4000 RPM. This makes it an excellent all-round vehicle, and a real...

Pros: Great power and interior room. Cons: The body design lacks appeal.
The new S4 is the best performance car that comes in a sedan model. The S4 produces an outstanding 265 hp and 258 lb of torque. The S4 packs quite a punch and if you decide on the manual model it will come in a six-speed transmission. Going for about 40k...

Now why did I buy the S4? I've drive an E55, a 911 and a '88 M3 before, all these cars shout performance, but yet none of them were as pleasing as the S4 is for me now. The 2.7l bi-turbo charged engine is a marvel, the low end torque peaking near 1800rpm...

Pros: Power, stability, refinement, styling Cons: Unnecessarily ugly wheels, starting to show its age The Bottom Line: Very fun to drive.
If you've read my review of the standard Audi A6, you know I did not find that car very enjoyable to drive. Power was lacking, and the very stability of all-wheel-drive meant the chassis did not feel very tossable. The S4 does not have either of these ...
