Pros: Exhaust sound, external beauty, interior design, handling, overall looks Cons: Sound system and "shuddering" when going over bumps. The Bottom Line: Great Car, and well worth the money
I love my 2000 Z3 2.3. It is the perfect first car, small zippy, handles great, and it feels like a sports car to drive . The 170 HP 2.5 liter engine in my Z3 isn't the most powerful engine, but it gets the car moving, and quick too. The car's light ... read more

Pros: Head-turning sexy looks, solid engineering, zippy handling, top-notch safety features, affordable, reliable Cons: Follows road imperfections, some cowl shake, seats could be more supportive. The Bottom Line: The sexy BMW Z3 is the best roadster value on the road. Exceptional engineering and safety features put it in a class by itself.
All of my life I have wanted a roadster. The Z3 fulfills all of my wish-list items for the perfect top-down two-seater. It draws design cues from classic roadsters including the Jaguar XKE and AC Cobra. Underneath the sexy, curvaceous exterior, this ... read more

Pros: Cute and Fun To Drive Cons: Is in the Shop repeatedly for various manufacturing and design issues. The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this car unless all you care about is cute and fun to drive. You MUST have another vehicle to use.
I've had my BMW Z3 since 2000 and it has been in the shop over 1/4 of the time for one issue or another. Perhaps most significantly, the seat belts have stopped working four times; a safety hazard to say the least. Granted this car is cute and fun to ... read more

I drove this car off the lot when the lease of my '97 Z3 came to an end. I could have opted to keep the '97, but I wanted the improvements that came along since then, mainly the safety roll bars behind the seats, the foam lining in the convertible top, ... read more

Pros: classic roadster proportions, open air, solid handling, value priced. Cons: general practicality, becoming too common, average fuel economy. The Bottom Line: Yes, the money would have been better utilized in my 401K but you can't put a price tag of the driving the Oregon coast in this car at sunset.
