I Love My 2000 Z28

by
Mar 30, 2003 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very fast, nice sound, head turning capabilities
Cons: expensive upgrades, small interior, annoying skip shift on 6-speed
The Bottom Line: Great car for the person who wants to have a little fun!

I fell in love with the 2000 Z28 with the LS-1 and 6-speed transmission the first time I drove it. It didn't take long before I was severely annoyed by the skip shift. I also started looking around for more power and came to find out upgrades are very ... read more

2000 Z28 6speed

by
Jan 16, 2002 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: V-8 rumble, acceleration, torque, POWER
Cons: feels a bit overweight, harsh ride...not a good city car, gas mileage sucks
The Bottom Line: If you like fast muscle cars, this one is tough to beat. Once you test drive one, you'll either love it or hate it.

I have a 2000 Z28 6spd. I highly recommend NOT wasting $3k+ extra on the SS, which has the same engine as the stock Z28. I put an aftermarket 3" exhaust that looks and sounds better than the SS exhaust on my car plus added SS wheels and tires that I ... read more

The Camaro "The beast of Chevrolet"

by
Nov 1, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The Camaro is one of the best threads in the fabric of General Motors
Cons: Not too good in snow, and not really comfortable for more than 2 people
The Bottom Line: The 2000 V6 camaro is a very beautiful car and marked at a good price

This is the sport car you want to be in. For the 2000 model you could choose from a newly styled cloth interior or the optional leather seating surfaces. But standard in every camaro is air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, center console dual front ... read more

by
Jun 10, 2001 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast, excellent handling, solid through turns, and a modest sports car price
Cons: Limited trunk space and you have to learn to drive it
The Bottom Line: A high performance sports car for a modest sports car price.

How many cars on the road can really make 0-60 in less than 6 seconds? Not many! Chevrolet combined the Corvette LS-1 V8 engine in a sleek body style with a nice and tight suspension. I regularly dust the local pocket rocket Japanese pretend sports ... read more

American muscle car.

Jun 7, 2001 (Not Yet Rated)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: bang for the buck is amazing
Cons: not a good winter car :)
The Bottom Line: Mustang killer. Will run all over other cars on the street, excellent performance at a bargain price.

Despite what people think, the f-body (Camaro and Firdbird) will not be killed off. It's true that the 4th generation f-body is going to be phased out (probably stretching it out till 2003). Afterwards the 5th generation f-body will be available. ... read more

2000 Camaro Z28 ok by me

by
May 23, 2001 (Not Yet Rated)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The power and sound are good for the soul.
Cons: Some corners were cut on the interior.
The Bottom Line: Buy the Camaro if you want the most bang for your buck in the performance class.

First, let me state I was looking for a performance car when I purchased the 2000 Camaro Z28. I test drove the Mustang, Eclipse and 3000GT before deciding. While the Z28 registered average on most interior characteristics, the engine and "feel" won me ... read more

Awesome SS

by
Mar 19, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast, Looks as good as it sounds (don't need to go faster, trust me)
Cons: Room for two only (but you aren't buying it to haul people in right?)
The Bottom Line: It's a great car, for the money you won't find more bang for the buck stock off the showroom floor. Get one while you still can!

After my Mustang GT was totaled by a seventeen year old that "saw me but thought she could make it across" a divided highway (50 miles an hour and I never hit the brakes) I needed a new car. The Mustang was fun, but I am 5'10, and the seats were it ... read more
