Pros: Comfortable, extremely spacious, almost everything about it! Cons: Not the best on gas mileage, but that's to be expected with a LARGER engine.

Smooth Riding With Lots Of Space

Pros: Big, Fun To Drive, Safe, Powerful 5.7 Liter V8. Drives Smooth. Cons: Uses More Fuel Than Your Average Minivan. Thin Exterior Sheet Metal. Mirrors Shake.
I own an 8 passenger G1500 Express van with the L31 5.7 liter (350) V8. The van is a lot of fun to drive. I love looking over the minivans and the smaller SUV's. Yes, it does use a little more gas. I get 15-17 MPG but I feel it is worth it for all the visibility, legroom, safety, power and space. You can get up out of you front seat and actually go back into the rear of the van without exiting the vehicle. I have owned previous Chevy Vans over the years and find the Express to be quieter and a bit more refined. The body is built over a strong truck frame unlike older Chevies that used a "U" shaped channel frame welded to the body. I think it makes the ride smooth and silky.
