Poorly made vehicle

Jan 27, 2010 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Roomy and comfortable
Cons: Falls apart thanks to very poor quality
The Bottom Line:

Buy a vehicle from car makers that stand behind their products. This product has design flaws that ensure it will break down.

The 2000 Suburban was my dream car, big enough for a family of 6, great hauling capacity, comfortable and safe. However, problems started within a couple of weeks. In the first 3 months, all 4 power windows froze and had to be fixed. After two ... read more

Pros: Well made, comfortable for the entire family. Pulls easily
Cons: Gas mileage is not the greatest
The Bottom Line: I recommend buying a used Suburban. Good quality made to last.

I have dreamed of owning a suburban for years. After cramming three car seats into a midsized car with all the “gear” you need to bring along for children of that age, I longed for a larger vehicle. Add to that watching children’s friends on ... read more

Pros: SAFE, comfort, gas not as bad as one may think!
Cons: Smaller gas tank than previous models, interior not as plush as more expensive models.

STRENGTH, STYLE AND SIMPLICITY

by
Dec 14, 2001 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Unmatched passenger and cargo space, smooth ride and comfort in quantity.
Cons: Large size and low visibility turns the average parking lot into a challenge course.
The Bottom Line: Anyone considering a larger SUV should feel obligated to look carefully at the Suburban. Overlooking it for any reason could be hazardous to your ego.

When my wife and I were making a decision to purchase a new car we had a variety of different factors to consider. An upcoming road trip with two pre-teen boys meant that we would need a lot of space, both for passengers and luggage. We wanted a ... read more

We use a suburban for both family and business, driving about 40,000 miles annually. Our last Suburban was a 4-wheel drive '97 K1500. It was a functional, largely trouble-free vehicle doing what we bought it to do. So... when we decided it was ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Roominess

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Major improvements in the air conditioning system and the new body style are just some of the things that have been improved upon.
Cons: The only con I can think of is the smaller gas tank which makes for more stops at the pump.

When I think of an SUV the first thing that comes to mind is the Chevy Suburban. The qualities that make the Suburban the greatest SUV ever are many, and the cons are few. Introduced in 1935 the chevy suburban was one of a kind right from ... read more
