Pros: Roomy, Stylish, Economical, Handles great, A nice SUV. Cons: none The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for an SUV and you want to go easy on the pocket book, buy a tracker. If you have unlimited funds, buy three trackers.
I bought my Chevrolet Tracker because I needed a bigger vehicle and preferred a four wheel drive. I use my Tracker to deliver mail on a rural route. I chose a tracker because I already own a 1992 model and it is the best vehicle I had owned thus far. My ... read more

Pros: Quite, great suspension, Powerful four cylinder engine. Cons: Not actually shift on the fly, poor winter traction, poor transmission performance, slow. The Bottom Line: If your looking for a great USED SUV, I'd say go for the Tracker. If you want a new SUV look into the Hyundai Santa Fe or Subaru Forester.
I bought this truck in a year end clearance sale, needed something to replace my gas-sucking, falling apart 1994 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. I live in Michigan and the Winter could be driving hell.. sometimes 3 feet of snow on the road.

Pros: Stylish & FUN! Cons: Quality of interior. The Bottom Line: This is the little SUV to have when you can pop off the top and go!! Smooth ride, fun to drive, and great to look at.
The 2 door model is very stylish and a total blast to drive. I only wish the engine had a little more oomph to it. Although, I do get great gas mileage. I must say that this is my 2nd Tracker. I lost my 1995 version to a 35 mph head on collision. No ... read more

Pros: Cute-compact-handles good in snow Cons: handles poorly in wind
I've had my 2000 Tracker for 1 year. I would recommend this vehicle, however it doesn't handle well in the wind. It handles very good in snow and we get alot of that in WI. The wind noise in minimal and the radio system is good. There is alot of room ... read more

Pros: Value, visibility, trim and finish quality. High reliability. Cons: Small engine = moderate power. The Bottom Line: An excellent second or third vehicle. Good value, and economical entry into SUVs. Excellent for teaching a teen to drive. No problems; great performance.
It is now October 2009, and the Tracker is still chugging along great. We now have 115,000 miles on it and the only repair since my update in 2008 was replacing the starter. While the starter did not fail entirely, it only locked up and ... read more

Pros: Price, Styling, Versatile Cons: Quality, Other Choices, Engine, Ride, Noise The Bottom Line: This is a pesky little truck that rides like a old Datsun pickup. Useful space and cute looks are its only pluses.
Ford and Chevy have done a great job in offering their customer a full range of trucks. In the past, most automakers offered one, or maybe two trucks (usually a full-size, and a compact) . These days Chevrolet has 5 or 6 trucks for sale, and that ... read more

Pros: Solid, comfortable, economical, real part-time 4wd. Cons: size (sometimes), more power nice but not Needed The Bottom Line: A very good little truck for those that want decent fuel economy. If you are tall and have any children it will likely become your "second" vehicle.
