Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Gutsy V6, ample torque. Refined interior. Good seating position.
Cons: Front wheel drive. Auto Stick has a mind of its own.
The Bottom Line: This is a great sport touring car for the family guy. Ample room for passengers, but it has the power and handling to make for an engaging drive.

In the spring of 2004, I received a call from my father stating that he had just bought a new car. Intrigued, I questioned him on what it was. When he told me it was a silver 2000 Chrysler 300M, I immediately thought to myself, "Man, I can't wait to ...

Pros: Power, performance, refined handling, well designed, high quality interior, roomy, good bang for the buck
Cons: Poor rear window visibility, rotors warp quickly, small trunk opening
The Bottom Line: The car is very capable in a performance setting and is refined and luxurious for the price. This is a terrific family car and a great value.

Test Car:
2000 Chrysler 300M

The 300M has a very nice quality interior. Panel and dash are seamlessly integrated and fit excellently. Leather heated seats are very nicely designed and quite comfortable. Retro styling...

Pros: Very ergonomic, even for tall folks, Quick, takes corners fast, tight control, roomy
Cons: Typical Chrysler Styling, a little lacking in headroom

I'm a big guy.

I mean it. I'm a BIG GUY. 6'4" tall, deep into the 200's, and mostly a "Large SUV" kinda guy.

My wife's car was a Maroon 93 Buick Skylark (which I not-so-affectionately called the...

— So, imagine you're this Chrysler designer who has just finished penning the 1998 Concorde, arguably one of the most beauteous sedans since the Series III Jaguar XJ6.You're feeling pretty pleased with yourself . . . until your boss walks in and says:...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good Car, Engine
Cons: Styling, Is it that different from the Intrepid?

I have been doing some research on the Chrysler LH cars (Concorde, LHS, 300M, and Dodge Intrepid). I have found that the three Chrysler versions are very, very similar. I have some books from auto shows about these cars. Actually the LHS and 300M are...

a TRUE 4 door sports car

Feb 09 '01

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: style, power, luxury, sportiness, interior room
Cons: leather is a little stiff, fake wood trim on dash
The Bottom Line: If you are a driving enthusiast looking for a 4 door vehicle, the 300M deserves your serious consideration.

I have always been a car guy and I have always liked fast cars. My previous vehicles included a 1985 Mazda RX7, a 1988 Mustang LX 5.0, a 1986 Buick Regal Grand National, and a 1998 Pontiac Formula. In the fall of 2000, it became painfully clear to me...

Pros: Luxurious
Cons: None

Originally designed for the European market, the Chrysler 300M has become a huge hit with American customers, thanks to its unique blend of virtues.
Although most domestic luxury cars still appear to be the result of a bigger-is-better philosophy,...

Pros: none

The autostick is fun, but a mixed bag. It is fun when it works, but the transmission is a little too intelligent for my taste. Perhaps I am an unusual driver, but when in traffic I drive conservatively, and tend to let it go on the open road when there...

Pros: Power, Style, looks and realiability
Cons: no 2 door model yet

This is my future car. I have looked at lots of cars and settled on this one. Just recently I was at the LA International Auto Show and saw some really good upcoming models from Chrysler, lincoln, Nissan, BMW, Benz. I was totally blown away by the...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast and luxurious in one package
Cons: size and manufacturer

This is a well-rounded car if I have ever seen one. The 300M has a really nice sound system, pickup, and interior. The car is very attractive on the outside. It is probably the best american car that I have ever driven. That again is it's problem in...

Quality Sport Sedan

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Sharp Design, Handles well, Gutsy
Cons: Gas Mileage, Rain drips into interior when windows are cracked open.
The Bottom Line: I'd buy it again

Let me first qualify my review with the fact that I've never owned a car that was less than five years old in my life-I've always felt new/newer cars were WAY overpriced. I purchased my 2000 300M used in Oct of 2004. When initially looking I was ...

Pros: Looks cool, handles great, nifty dashboard. Nice for the weekend road trip.
Cons: Bad visibility, lagging transmission, no skip-protection on the CD player.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for handling go to BMW .... if you're looking for comfort go to Cadillac.

This car is very comfortable. I love being able to sit cross-legged in the front passenger seat (I'm 6'). It's very quiet and with the handling package, taking curves at high speed is great fun. However, I could never actually see the front/back/sides of ...

300M - A true cruiser

by kurtbbb
Jun 15 '03 - Updated Sep 06 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great Cruiser, trouble free, fast, handles very well, good for tall people
Cons: A little big, some road noise, stereo lacks bass/depth
The Bottom Line: Very reliable, great ride, large interior, fast acceleration. I recommend it!

After doing exhaustive research, I finally bought my 300M in December of 2001. Outside: Sleek styling, nice curves, rear of the car is a little funny, but it looks all around "cool"! I also have the chrome rims which, when clean, shine like a mirror ...

300m Electrical Woes

by __Tom__
Nov 14 '00

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Power, style and room
Cons: Faulty Electrical, rapid tire wear

I was attracted to the 300m by it's look and Chrysler retro advertising. I looked at several vehicles and thought the 300m was the most powerful (253 hp) in it's class and was thousands of dollars less expensive.

Initially I was very...

Nice rental, but I'd have qualms about buying it.

Jun 17 '01

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Roomy, smooth ride, spacious trunk.
Cons: Too many gizmos, tricky gear shift.
The Bottom Line: It was an interesting experience testing out this fancy, upscale sedan, but I personally don't like cars that try to outthink me. Other drivers may disagree.

I rented this vehicle for a week of intensive driving during a trip in and around Colorado (mountain terrain, city, desert). Good mileage, very roomy, and the engine was as quiet and powerful as one could ask. But the model I got was filled with...
