Pros: Gas mileage and rides like a car. Cons: Expect to pay a ton of money on repairs and maintenance. The Bottom Line: I can't in good conscious recommend this minivan!
While I love owning a minivan--comes in handy when you have two children in many extra-curricular activities--I would never recommend a Dodge Caravan to anyone! I've had more major (not typical wear and tear) problems with this vehicle than I've ever ... read more

Pros: space, sleek look. Cons: Unreliable, faulty parts, bad transmissions. Don't last over 60,000 miles The Bottom Line: I really feel like this van is a "wolf in sheep's clothing." The bottom line is you should run away from this minivan and not look back!
I really liked the look of the car. Very sleek looking and stylish. The paint does seem to chip easily though... I bought a 2000 Dodge Caravan in 2002 with 40,000 miles on it. I really liked the room and look of the minivan and enjoyed it for the ... read more

I have had my 2000 Dodge grand caravan for two years now and it has been nothing but a headache since i drove it home. The first week the rpms were going in the red zone but i was only going 30 mph, the transmission fluid also had a burnt odor. I ... read more

Pros: Seats eight people Cons: Not safe
You may be thinking right now that the Dodge Caravan is a family car, but is is safe? The answer to this is no. A report on the car at www.edmunds.com shows that the car has terrible crash tests. It also reports that the car is not comfortable for ... read more

Yes a van of anytype is nice if you have a larger family, do daycare, or just like to take friends out, but there is a risk on the caravans that i don't know if many people know about, i do believe it is the 94 model, and it didn't happen only once ... read more

Pros: Looks nice from the interior and the A/C and Heater work great Cons: Too small, drink too much gas, and has no good options in it The Bottom Line: Don't buy this van- you will regret it because it is too small, and too weak and drink too much gas
This van was not our dream van. It was not even close. We had wanted a Toyota Sienna but "No" said my wife. "Too Expensive". So we got stuck with a 2000 Dodge Caravan SE. This van was not bad; so far in the 7 years we have had it, it did not give us one ... read more

Pros: Very roomy interior Cons: Uncomfortable(especially if the driver is under 5' tall), controls are hard to reach The Bottom Line: I would suggest looking around at others before deciding on this one. Get a feel for how it drives and your comfortability as you are driving .
We don't actually own this vehicle...we own a 1998 Dodge Intrepid. We were given this to drive while our car was in the shop. The first thing that I noticed about the vehicle was the room. This thing is extremely roomy inside. But once I drove off, ... read more

Pros: Roomy, drives good, has good shocks, engine is strong through the first 100,000 to 150,000 miles, nice for large families, Dodge provides lots of extras Cons: Transmission goes out after 120,000 miles or so, motor begins having problems at about 130,000-150,000 miles
I thought it important to let you all know that the Dodge Caravan has a fundamental flaw. We have owned 2 of them & have had the same problems with both. The flaw is that when they get over 120,000 miles on them, the transmission begins giving you ... read more

Pros: Comfortable seating, sufficient sitting room, spacious, not too enclosed. Cons: Middle has no way to open windows, ride is somewhat jerky. The Bottom Line: This is a good car for familys who take yearly or bi-yearly trips. It can stand being driven alot for short distances, probably a couple long road trips per year.
This car is not bad looking, as far as minivans go. The drive is somewhat jerky, not smooth, because the gas lets out abruptly. However, there is a good amount of room. The car is reliable and does not experience many difficulties, and rarely had to ... read more

Pros: Fixed at no cost to consumer Cons: Parts often backordered due to high number of fixes being done.
The ABS braking system on some of the early 1990's Dodge minivans and light trucks have been a constant problem for owners of those vehicles. A recall has been issued, but often the new parts fail just as the old ones do. Dodge has just begun to cover ... read more

Pros: It's roomy Cons: It doesn't last long The Bottom Line: This is worth buying if you plan on taking trips, but if you need a drive around vehicle look for something different.
I had bought the Caravan before 2001 as a hope for a new vehicle. Of course that new car smell and excitement of the new car feeling, but it doesn't last long. Since I had bought the van, like any new car these days it loses it's power and drivability. ... read more
