Pros: sporty looks Cons: bad visibility
I have previously owned a four door Jimmy (1998) and enjoyed the truck a great deal. I loved it so much I decided to get another 2000 model. Thinking I would save some money and take advantage of some GMC cashback programs I fell for the salesman's...

Pros: nice smooth looks, car-like drive, easy to park, roomy interior Cons: rough handling, price tag, mileage
Even though the Jimmy was the first SUV that I ever drove, I feel that my opinions might be helpful to someone perhaps thinking about going from a sedan to a Jimmy. I got the 2000 Jimmy as an insurance replacement recently when my Honda Accord went in...

Pros: powerful, luxurious Cons: poor mileage, electrical problems The Bottom Line: If your going to lease and return it, and like bells and whistles, and don't mind wasting gas, go for it! Great leather seats!
Overall, I didn't like the GMC Jimmy. I got the vehicle as a company car and would not have other ...

Pros: The Jimmy will get you there, be it rain, mud, snow or rocky terrain. Cons: Right rear brake drum freezing up twice in one year. The Bottom Line: I've enjoyed my Jimmy but I'll never buy another one because of the brake problem. I recommend you look for something else.
When it comes to a truck to get you through any weather condition, I have to recommend the Jimmy. I drive 57 miles one way to work every day. The Jimmy has delivered me safe and sound. The year I bought the truck, we had 8 inches of snow dumped on us. ...

Pros: A little quick, a little comfy, and a little money Cons: read my epinion, there's too many to list, but it's still my baby The Bottom Line: A decent looking car, but mine was just a lemon I guess...
The GMC Jimmy has been around for quite some time now. For the year 2000, in which being it's 30th year in production, you would think that they would make the car/truck, in my opinion, a little better. I bought my 2000 SLS (2Door) Jimmy in late 1999 ...

Pros: Smooth ride. Comfortable. Not too big. Attractive. Few mechanical problems. Cons: Gas guzzler. Finish peeling on roof rack. The Bottom Line: Great small SUV.
This is a great SUV. I have the leather interior and it is very easy to clean and keep looking nice. It's a nice size for those of us who like riding higher than a car, yet aren't looking for a "bus". Maneuvers well. Knock on wood, it hasn't been to...

Pros: rugged looks, GM reputation, awesome 4X4 Cons: gas mileage, could be a bit more refined, tight on passenger room The Bottom Line: IF you want a great older SUV, this is the one.
I absolutely despise the car. We bought in on January 13, 2002 used. It has been a very good car. This is what a compact/midsize SUV should be. It has rugged looks, powerful engine, and an awesome 4X4 system. Allright, this isn't the best SUV out ...

Pros: Handling, Styling, Price Cons: No V-8 option, not quite as quiet as other models
When I initially decided to purchase a vehicle to handle my sales calls in, I considered many options. How much room do I need for guests? What am I willing to pay in gas a week? and of course the vehicle had to be stylish. After looking over the...

My dad recently got a new GMC Jimmy, a car that my grandfather has had for a few years now. I got home from college to see the new car and immediately liked riding in it. It fit all of my end of the year luggage from school and i was totally...

Pros: sexy, sleek, nice ride, corners well, lots of head and leg room, big side mirrors Cons: bad gas mileage, "hump" on passengers side footing area
When deciding on which SUV to purchase (which is important, since we live in a ski resort), we looked at them ALL! The Jimmy caught our eye and a week later we were at the dealer. It's sleek, sexy design was what we fell in love with. When we drove...

Pros: Great traction, very ample cargo room, comfortable ride Cons: Rear leg room cramped for large adults, gas mileage could be better overall
I leased a 2000 4 door Jimmy a couple of months ago. I wanted a slighter larger SUV than the compact versions available and yet I did not want a gas guzzler. The 4 door Jimmy has plenty of cargo room, especially with the rear seats folded forward and...

Pros: Comfort Level Cons: Price all SUV's are over Priced
I again did not buy this SUV. I rented it on a recent trip to the Mtns. The wind was extremely strong and gusty, this vehicle took the wind by storm and told it who was boss. The Gas mileage was descent for the size. The control for the stereo are on...

Pros: Very comfortable, good power and handling Cons: gas milage is low, extras are not cheap
I was a van owner looking for a more versatile vehicle. I shopped around and drove a lot of sport utility vehicles. I was very impressed with the Jimmies power handling and comfort. The power was far beyond the other SUV's and you still had a very quite...

Pros: everything Cons: pricey but worth it
I had previously written a review on a 1995 Jimmy. Just recently we traded it in for a brand new 2000 Diamond Edition Jimmy. It looks exactly like the black and silver Jimmy shown above. We decided to trade it in for a new one due to the previous...
