Pros: Great Performance, Fully Loaded at a reasonable price Cons: bland interior
I bought my 2000 Honda Civic EX because I wanted something quick, stylish and reliable. I had already driven the 2000 VW Jetta and the 2000 Ford Focus by the time I hit the Honda lot. While I loved the Jetta and the Focus, the options I wanted were...

Pros: Makes an inexpensive coffin in the event of any accident in it Cons: no torque, vague steering, back end too eager to hop out, broke down more than a Yugo during the winter, I'd rather be struck by a car as a pedestrian than in a Civic piece of tin!
I bought a blue Civic SI for my wife figuring that it was a reliable car. I couldn't have been more wrong, within the first month the car had broken down 3 times. Getting anything out of Honda is like squeezing water from a stone and they insisted that...

Pros: Fast, reliable, fun, reliable, and oh yeah.. reliable Cons: Just like all the other cars out there The Bottom Line: If you're gonna buy a Civic, get the Si. For very little more you can get an infinite amount more enjoyment.
I'll have to admit I was a little unsure when considering buying a Civic... even the Si. Somehow, the Civic just seems like a kids car that you'd expect to see with some teen with his hat backwards, blasting music, and laying down so far in his seat...

Pros: Gas mileage Cons: It's ssslllooowww
In the past few years, we've seen a shift of young people (who are stuck driving their Mom's Honda) attempting to modify their economy style cars into formula one race cars. If you find yourself interested in a Civic for that reason then PLEASE...

Pros: Great on gas and the engine is trouble-free. Cons: The manual transmission does not shift into reverse, unless you go forward first. The Bottom Line: Don't get me wrong. This car is great, but you may want to make your own decision.
I have a friend who owns a 2000 Honda Civic and so far, the car has not given her any mechanical problems. Well, first of all, she bought the car brand new last year, but the only thing wrong about the car and I learned that people who also owns a 2000...

Pros: great gas mileage, handles well, keyless entry, cruise control Cons: small back seat
I have been driving my Honda Civic for several years and it has treated me well. I went for the EX Coupe because of the added horsepower, and from the test drives I did, the additional engine power did make a big difference over the DX model.

Pros: Sporty yet very reliable Cons: Fit and finish not quite as good as more expensive European cars The Bottom Line: Sensible fun, very reliable car. A smart decision and a great buy if you can find a used one!
This review refers to the Si model in the US, which is called SiR in Canada.
This car meets all of the factors I wanted when I bought it.
First, let me tell you why I bought this car. My prior car was a 1993 Volkswagen Corrado VR6....

Pros: performance, great looks, comfortable Cons: small size car
I am the owner of a brand new 2000 Honda Civic Coupe EX, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I bought a 1999 Civic in July '99, and unfortunately was involved in a tremendous accident with it about 3 weeks ago. So, what next I thought. I couldn't...

Pros: Great price, every model comes fully loaded, DOHC V-Tech engine produces a whopping 160 HP at the wheels Cons: Front seats are uncomfortable, very little support for your upper and lower back. They only have the Si available in a coupe and not the hatchback
After years of the Civic Si absence it has finally returned to the US. I just purchased the 2000 Honda Civic Si mainly because of it's powerhouse engine, tweaked suspension, fully loaded (more than the EX model) and simply because as an import enthusiast...

Pros: Quet, quick, handles well Cons: Could be faster
On January 30, 2000 I went to pick up my brand spanking new Honda Civic 2000 EX Coupe. I choose a Vogue Silver Metallic. I choose the automatic transmission. When I test-drove the Civic the first thing I notice was how smooth it run. For an economy car...

Pros: It moves after 16 years Cons: The cigarette lighter doesn't work.
The 1984 Honda Civic Hatchback was the first car I bought all by myself. I bought it two years ago. My dad looked it over and said that despite it being 14 years old it was in perfect condition. The former owners told me that they had never had any...

Pros: gas mileage Cons: tossed about on windy days
I was looking for a reliable car that was within a limited price range. I never thought I would be able to afford a Honda, but the Civic is a great price for all that you get. Even though it is a compact 2 door car, it has a decent amount of space in...

Pros: handles great, feels secure and solid on the road Cons: larger than the older models
I bought a new 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatchback in August 2000. I had previously owned a 1985 Civic Hatchback. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of the new car. Incidentally, this was the first NEW car I had ever purchased. No, it was not cheap, but...
