Pros: Utility, room, handling, resale Cons: Perhaps overly utilitarian, seats copied from a 1985 Chrysler The Bottom Line: Interior versatility, roominess, and nimble handling make this a very desirable minivan.
The Japanese auto companies are not all that smart. It took them about a decade and a failed attempt or two to realize that large pick-ups, minivans, and SUVs were hot and get competitive products to market. For example, both the Toyota T100 and original ...

Pros: Quality and reliability in question; American Honda Motor Co needs to keep the standard Cons: Disclosure after spending for repair The Bottom Line: Why did American Honda Motor Co have to wait until now before disclosing to us, consumers, that their vehicle had a faulty ignition switch problem?
I'd be very surprised if your working-horse Odyssey, favorite Honda Civic, Accord, Prelude, CR-V and even your Acura were not part of this massive recall. As for my wife and me, our Honda is just messing up in the garage. Not even the alarm is working....

Pros: Sleek look, Magic seat, Strong engine, Solid build, Good features, Honda-quality Cons: Hard to get for a good deal, nothing major
FIRST IMPRESSION:
I saw a commercial for the new Honda Odyssey during a football game. looked sharp. As I was going to work, I stumbled across one on the freeway...it looked really sharp. The older Odysseys didn't really catch...

Pros: "2-in-1" - 2nd Row: Converts Captain to Bench Seat. Prestige. Dual Electric side doors. Cons: Gas mileage. Lack of a comfortable ride. Questionable dependability. The Bottom Line: So-So. Mechanical & body problems from day-one. One resolves, another begins. Warranty covered some. Lemon or tired at 90k-miles? Can this last 200-300k-miles? We'll see.
I purchased a 2000 EX in February 2006 with 80k miles. It had some very minor rust spots, which the manufacturer refused to repair (3-wks outside of warranty). I have recently noticed the space in which my 3rd row seat folds into is wet—more rust ...

Pros: Honda reliability; safety; convenience; handling; interior space and layout, "magic" 3rd seat Cons: price and availability; not the most stylish van on the road
We purchased our 2000 Honda Odyssey LX in January after tons of web research and a visit to a local Honda dealer to check the van out. The main determining factors for us in making this decision were safety, reliability, and convenience. The Odyssey's...

Pros: powerful engine, quiet ride, spacious Cons: poor paint job, problematic brakes, not reliable power devices (doors, locks, windows, etc.), uncomfortable seats The Bottom Line: Hard to recommend it to anyone based on my experience. But most owners seems to be happy with theirs. Perhaps that's because of even poorer alternatives.
After long waited months on the waiting list, I finally got my 2000 Odyssey EX last November. My options included hood protector (aka. wind deflector), navigation system, floor mats, and the paint protector.
I was very excited about driving this...

Pros: Nimble; Fast; Comfortable; Large Storage Capacity Cons: Limited Color Choices; Some Dealers Charge a Premium
No doubt about it: overall, this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It handles like a sedan, accelerates with authority, rides serenely and hauls like a commercial van.
This is a nimble Conestoga. It moves through downtown Chicago like a...

Pros: Tons of room, great engine, comfortable Cons: Factory radio not great, hatchback hard to close
My wife and I purchased our 2000 Honda Odyssey EX a few weeks after our first child was born. The 1996 Toyota Corolla that we'd been enjoying for 4 years just wasn't big enough for me, my wife, our daughter, her stroller, and my golf clubs! We knew that...

Pros: price, power, roominess, storage, handling, overall engineering Cons: scarcity, dealer attitude, some ergonomics, sound system very weak
I've had my '00 Odyssey EX for about a month now. Overall, I'd have to say it's been very satisfying. I tried hard not to buy one because of the snobby, greedy dealer attitude that seems to surround this highly sought after minivan. You know, the...

Pros: roomy, easy to drive, good deal Cons: longer than some minivans
We love our Odyssey (aka Hi Ho Silver). Hi Ho Silver is a charcoal gray 2000 Odyssey LX. It is almost 2 weeks old. After trying every other minivan on the market, we were sold on the Odyssey.
Why? We love all of the features that are...

Pros: A wonderfully versatile mini-van! Cons: Usually have a bit of a wait after ordering one
I love everything about our new Honda EX.
Before we purchased this, I did a lot of research on the Edmunds.com forums. We researched Suburbans as well as other mini-vans. I was always one of those people that swore I would never own a mini-van...

Pros: Magic 3rd row seat, electric doors, smooth engine, space, utility Cons: Noisy at highway speeds, lack of leather seats, no entertainment system
This is our first minivan so I really can not make a comparison to any other van.
We purchased the Honda due to its reputation for quality. Read all of the reviews and waited an additional year to make sure Honda worked out all of the kinks...
